 We had a walk-off hit by pitch. We had a single to tie it. They intentionally walked the next guy to set up a force play at the plate. We ran a fake squeeze and they hit the batter.

 We've discovered the hard way there's no way to pitch to him. He's such a disciplined hitter at the plate and has such good plate coverage, it's almost like you can't even trust your pitchers to pitch around him. You've just got to intentionally walk him.

If we keep preaching that, there won't have to be a whole lot said if you make a weak out on a marginally bad first pitch. It's not the way you play winning baseball.

 That's what I do -- my job is to walk, ... I just walk and walk and walk and I've walked in Romania, Mongolia, Tanzania -- all these places to find dinosaurs.

 I love it. I've done it my whole career. I enjoy giving the flexibility to the manager. But the main place you want to play is in the batter's box. I want to hit, I want to go to the plate. It doesn't matter if I'm at DH, first, left, right, or third base.

 We were trying to pitch to a wide plate. I think the pitch he got was way too good. ... I'm not sure what he was doing 2-0, but he shouldn't have been pitching on top of the plate.
