 It's just typical day-before-the-holiday trading. The economic numbers that came out this morning weren't enough to sway people to be overly optimistic or overly pessimistic.

 People were overly optimistic. And now people are overly pessimistic.

 The Bush people have no right to speak for my father, particularly because of the position he's in now. Yes, some of the current policies are an extension of the '80s. But the overall thrust of this administration is not my father's - these people are overly reaching, overly aggressive, overly secretive, and just plain corrupt. I don't trust these people.

 The chip sector is one area where people might be getting overly pessimistic. A lot of damage has already been priced in and if there is any strength in the economy in 2005 these stocks should do well,

 I remember running the race in the snow, then getting sunburn after the race. It's typical for it to be pretty chilly in the morning, but we're not overly concerned.

 There's a perception that this demand destruction is going to continue. But I think that people are being a little bit overly optimistic.

 I think the report was a bit overly optimistic. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. I find it strange that although they admit there's no good data, they come out as very optimistic that this isn't that big a deal.

 The macro environment is affecting technology. You've gone from where people were overly optimistic about tech to where people are looking for change.

 Investors were overly pessimistic on the entire industry. They thought the consumer business would crash and fall. But the cash flow we're spinning off is amazing. The whole industry will do better than people think.

 The danger is being overly optimistic about how long it takes to do that.
