I knew there was a chance when I took the job here a year ago that if we continued winning I may lose a great coach. That speaks very highly of our program.

 The meat of our order hasn't really done anything. We're still winning games and floating around .500, so that's good. As soon as we start clicking and doing some things that we can do, we'll start winning more consistently.

 You want to go into the playoffs winning and get that swagger about yourself. If you go into the playoffs losing, you don't feel that great about yourself and teams look at the things you didn't do well and try to key on those things and make you look bad. You want to build up as the season progresses along.

 The idea is to build confidence, then start performing competitively, then start winning. Ultimately, the scoreboard wins will happen.

 We had a great start. We followed the plan really well. We did a lot of good things and finally we can build on the positive.

 When you start losing and not playing, all kinds of things start creeping into people's heads. You start asking things like: 'Is this program for me? Do I stay with it?' I'm pretty sure we knew that. You have to play through it and that's what Joel did.

 We really needed this win. We need to start [winning] now instead of waiting for the sectional. I look for great things the last two games [of the regular season].

 Maybe everybody got a snack but him, so he went over and took a girl's snack — that's normal toddler behavior, and he may need to work on verbal skills. Or, she skipped her nap, and that always leads to trouble.

 You start out with pick a few good simple things to get done, build trust, build that bipartisan feeling if you can,

 We knew if we had a good day today that there would be a chance we could start to pull away. Usually, we start slow because we're not balanced, so a lot of other teams might get more wins than us the first couple rounds, but then we keep winning throughout the tournament. That's what we're looking forward to right now.

 These are things that give you peace of mind and joy. We want to laugh. We want to revel in something that tastes great.
