 I am doing some movie stuff. There's less to show publicly than I had hoped but, hopefully, there'll be more soon. It's not the last you've heard about me and films. I have some clout (in Hollywood) but not what I had or still have in fashion.

 We had a sort of five-year plan. Neil wanted to go off and do Hollywood, while I wanted to make little films in my barn, on my own, and not show them to anybody, and see how it went. And the idea was, I'd get a point of view, and he'd get some clout, and then we'd meet up in a few years and make a feature film. Which is pretty much how it worked.

 We thought that instead of taking this to Hollywood, how about taking Hollywood to the churches? When we looked at the technology, you can have a great screening with digital projectors and surround sound. You don't need a movie theater. So we started asking people and screening the movie for pastors, and after they saw it and wiped away a tear, they said they would love to show it to their congregations.

 I think it is an exceptional movie with a very diverse cast. I'm glad that Hollywood can open its mind to different types of films.

 Only one of our top five films was nominated for Best Picture by the Academy Awards. Hollywood is increasingly disconnected from the American public. Our award list is intended to help the movie industry elite find their way back into the mainstream.

 As far as film goes, I enjoy all Hollywood films and all Horror films like The Bride of Frankenstein, which also might be my favorite. I like 60's and 70's Italian and Spanish Horror films.

 It totally sounds like an advice book, ... but there's not a shred of advice in the entire book, which is good for any of your readers. It's a novel. It's a humor book. It's sort of a what-if scenario of what would happen if you took a B-movie actor, meaning me -- I take the lead role in the book -- and put him into a big Hollywood movie. The answer is that it's not good. It's a misadventure. I single-handedly take down a big Hollywood movie.

 We don't have the massive clout that Hollywood does,

 We wouldn't be showing the Hollywood films we do unless we felt it was going to benefit all the films that are playing,

 We present the best of the independent foreign-language and Hollywood films. We increase the number of films available to the community.

 The 'Harry Potter' films are as close to a sure thing as there really exists in Hollywood now. There is a built-in audience for these films.

 This isn't a fashion movie where we were trying to show every fabulous shoe in the world. It's a story about two women who happen to be sisters.

 When I came to Hollywood, I was summoned to Madonna 's apartment in New York City, ... and she was talking about All About Eve , and how it's one of her favorite films. Now I've seen it and I own it—I bought one of the prints. It's about how youth is perceived and very little has changed in this youth obsessed culture—it's about the need for approval from others. There is so much going on in that movie. It requires some psychoanalysis. All About Eve is the only film I would remake.

 I think it's a very rich time for films that are socially and politically aware. Hollywood has got an admirable history of making films about how the world is: think of Vietnam and McCarthyism. I don't think this is any different.
