I am extremely excited to be a part of Vision Racing. Tony George and Ed Carpenter have built a solid foundation and the team is moving in the right direction. I have my engineer, David Cripps, with me and we have a solid working relationship. The time that I have had in the off-season with Larry Curry has been encouraging. He is incredibly motivated to win races, and that is what I am looking forward to doing, winning races.

The final three races are on dirt, and we're looking forward to that, ... I think we'll be strong as the season comes to a close, and with a little bit of luck, we'll be able to bring the title home for the entire Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises team to enjoy.

Larry has contributed immeasurably to the vision of how to build a bank uniquely geared to the needs of Portland-area businesses and business owners. His commitment to that vision has given Capital Pacific Bank a solid foundation from which we will continue to grow and evolve. We wish Larry the very best.

It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

Being from the northeast, I've known Ricky Craven for years and look forward to being his crew chief. This is a great opportunity for me to move into this position with an organization like Roush. The team has so much potential and with 10 races remaining there is plenty of time to win a few races yet this season.

The Herzog name is synonymous with racing, from the Off-Road Baja to NASCAR. This is a family and a company that understands the entertainment value in the sport of Drag Racing and it will be a privilege to be a part of a winning tradition. Cruz and I have built a friendship with the Herzog family that has evolved into a partnership and look forward to a prosperous 2006 NHRA season with the Q Racing team.

It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him.

[Additionally, at the last three Rolex Grand Am races, the CITGO Racing Team and Howard-Boss Motorsports hosted children diagnosed with neuromuscular disease and their families. Jim is one of the hardest working general managers in the game and I have every confidence that he will improve our team this off-season while continuing to build a solid foundation that will yield a perennial winning franchise worthy of the great city of Washington.

I suspect with the cancellation of some of the earlier races, of course that's going to fuel the speculation on the other races here in the area. We're moving forward. It's business as usual.

[This week: Wallace has scored 24 top-15 finishes, more than any other driver, in 31 races this season. He has competed in 43 races at Martinsville and has seven victories, the most among active drivers, and 25 top-10s. His last victory there came in April 2004.] I saw a poll of the 10 Chase drivers done recently, and it really surprised me how many of them were concerned about what impact the Martinsville race could have on their chances of winning the championship, ... Man, that's certainly not the case with me and my team. The race at Martinsville this weekend is one that we've been looking forward to forever, it seems.

Rusty Wallace (1956-)

We're looking forward to our first races to get going. We want to see where we're at with one race under our belt and where we need to make improvements. We have some big races this season and we need to be ready.

We have a strong car and team, and looking forward to a good season, but we're focusing on growing with this young team. Finishing races and working on the little things that make us better are some of the things I'm looking forward to.

I'm really looking forward to my first Daytona 24 hour race. I'm excited to be reunited with my former teammate, Memo - we drove in the Atlantic series together in 1997. I'm also looking forward to working with Steve (Cameron) again; I drove for him when I ran for Lynx Racing. This team won the last race of the season last year and I feel that they're definitely capable of winning the Rolex 24.

I missed plenty of races last year, so I'm thankful to have a full season of racing to look forward to.
