Don't have good ideas gezegde

Don't have good ideas if you aren't willing to be responsible for them.

Coaches all understand. Coaches aren't responsible for the actions of their players, but if you're a good coach you feel very responsible for their actions.

We don't do the avian flu. DMORT is responsible for [processing] the remains only ... they don't identify, they don't do autopsies -- those are done by local medical examiners. We aren't responsible for that.

I think there's no question that there is going to be an accelerating consolidation and that's very, very healthy for this industry, ... In the past, if you look at what ideas have gotten funded, basically all ideas gave gotten funded  -- good ideas and bad ideas in the previous climate.

We aren't pushing a particular agenda, but we're opening a dialogue on how we need to be doing something different. We think it is positive to talk about ideas. We selected the university to do that because the university is intended to be a place where you can debate ideas without being polarized.

Retailers aren't responsible for the design of products. They're responsible for getting consumers to buy at their store rather than another. So if manufacturers didn't deliver exciting products, there isn't a lot the retailers can do about it.

A greenway is a public place. We need to encourage people to be responsible and courteous. 99 percent of people are responsible. The one percent who aren't will ruin it.

They're good pals of mine that I can talk to when I have questions. We're together a lot during the day. When we study questions come up and we think things through and talk about them together. We think up situations in our head - 'if this happens, what do you do?' If the coaches aren't with us we can think about it and everybody throws in their ideas. We get good work out of it.

There are more ideas on earth than intellectuals imagine. And these ideas are more active, stronger, more resistant, more passionate than ''politicians'' think. We have to be there at the birth of ideas, the bursting outward of their force: not in books expressing them, but in events manifesting this force, in struggles carried on around ideas, for or against them. Ideas do not rule the world. But it is because the world has ideas... that it is not passively ruled by those who are its leaders or those who would like to teach it, once and for all, what it must think.
  Michel Foucault

I don't know that I have a good solution to the problem. Now we have another challenge in public education: It's not about wind speed, it's about storm surge. I have some bold ideas but I'm not going to come and say this is what we're going to do. There's a certain percentage of the population that aren't going to leave, I don't care what.

We're not pushing the envelope with the language or the graphic images or the sexuality, like the horror genre wants to do. Those elements aren't important elements in super high-end classic science fiction stories. Isaac Asimov was never really censored. She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace. Robert Heinlein never really provoked Bill O'Reilly. Procter & Gamble never really got pissed off at Ray Bradbury. These are really smart guys. Their ideas are bold, and some of these ideas are out there. ABC told us to get as bold as we can get. Will the network be afraid of those ideas? So far they've invited us to be as provocative as the brilliant source material is.

Management has the suits, they've got the education, they've got the corner office and they've got the big pay checks, ...
