We got ourselves in gezegde

 We got ourselves in some holes. Fortunately tonight we were able to dig ourselves out. I'm sure if you ask anybody around here, you're not going to expect to win too many ball games when you walk that many guys. But they pitched their hearts out and came through with the 'W' for us.

 He pitched a little tight and you want to be careful with [Hall] because he's got power, but you don't like to walk him and that's why we put Wheeler in those situations -- because he usually doesn't walk guys. She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. Hall comes up with the big hit and beyond that, they put the ball in play. You have to give them credit. They didn't strike out. That's what we were looking for.

 That was one of the best-pitched games I've ever seen in high school ball. It's hard to play bad defense when nobody hits the ball. She was just the deal tonight.

 We've played a light of tight games with these guys here, ... Fortunately, we were able to get the last three outs for a change. Usually they put a rally to get past us, but not tonight. We have (19) games left in the season,























































































































and every game is important.

 He pitched one of his better games. He's given us some really good games, but I don't think even he can explain the struggles he's had. It's definitely there. Everybody knows he's going to be around the plate and challenge guys. I'm sure tonight's performance will leave him in a positive frame of mind, no matter what he does in his last start.

 We have not been healthy until the last three games. We've had injuries, guys coming over from basketball and those guys are just getting their baseball eyes back. Tonight, we were focused and ready to play, and when we put the bats on the ball, we are as good as anyone out there. And tonight we did that.

 Our energy level tonight was up. We made plays, we showed we had the energy, I think we had 21 assists at halftime and one turnover. Our offense was efficient tonight. We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. Guys were trying to do everything on their own and we need to get back to trusting our teammates and passing the ball. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

 You can't expect to walk five, six hitters every time you go out there and expect to win at the big league level. It's impossible. The last few times he's pitched, we've beaten up our bullpen. If we get another one like that, we'll try to find a replacement for him, too.

 I am proud of how our guys bounced back like we did. I was happy how we played today. Offensively we hit the ball well and we were able to get the big hit. Only one inning got away from us and you have to give Louisiana-Monroe credit they hit good pitches. We pitched a lot of guys and they pitched well.

 Andy Pettitte has won a lot of ball games and a lot of big games, too. Our guys were up for the task tonight.

 It hurts when I walk but I can still hit the ball okay. So hopefully, it will not bother me that much tomorrow. I'm striking the ball nicely and it's important to do so as there is a lot of jungle that fringes most holes.

 Miner pitched well, and the guys in the bullpen have thrown strikes and gone after guys. They're making some pitches when they have to. I'm really feeling good right now about the way the bullpen has pitched in these first two games.

 Both those guys pitched their hearts out. That's the way (the rivalry with Clearwater) should be. Just coming down to the end like that.

 He has had big years. He won 20 games one year. He?s been kind of a steady guy, one who will give you 200 innings a year. He wins games. He is what you would call a command pitcher; he doesn?t walk a lot of guys. He pitches quick, gets the ball and throws it.

 We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most.
