If everything goes my gezegde

 If everything goes my way on race day, I will ride to the best of my ability. This is all I can ask of myself, and I believe that my best is worthy of winning a gold medal. I also believe my result has been decided a long time ago on many different levels. Winning a race is not a magic trick. My coach and I joke about becoming an overnight success in 10 years. I feel that my result was determined this summer when I got out of bed every morning and went to the gym.

 I had a Sonoma race where I was disappointed in the result, ... I wanted to make amends for that. That was the longest period of time I've ever had between races. From the last race of the year to the first race of the next season is a long time. It felt a lot longer than that.

 After this morning's free practice we were hoping for a better result than this, but the result over one flying lap this afternoon did not come up to our expectations. In fact, both our drivers found that their cars did not perform as well as they had done in the morning. However, I believe we will see a closely contested race on a track where overtaking is possible, especially on the main straight. Of course, it's not possible to make any more definitive predictions because of the usual unknowns surrounding the different fuel levels, consistency of tyre performance and reliability.

 That would be unbelievable. I don't know how probability works. Every time you go to the race track you have the same chance of winning no matter how you performed in the past, so I'm trying not to think about what happened before -- just go out and do the same thing we did the first time and the second time and if we get the same result, man, that would be unbelievable.

 We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

 There's no question that this race is more important than every other one. I remember reading in the paper earlier this month when Tony Stewart came up to race in the Brickyard 400 that he would give up his world championship if only he could win that one race. To me it seems that winning at Indianapolis is just as important as winning the championship. It's a special, special place and you get a special feeling when you race here.

 Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential. Growing up, you always dream of winning a gold medal. But coming into these Games, it wasn't something I was focused on. I'm just enjoying skating. This is the best season ever. I think that this year, my 3,000 meters has been stronger than the 1,500. The 1,500 has been anybody's race this year. When I was first, I still didn't know if that was enough.

 Winning the race never crossed my mind. I had three goals going in and winning wasn't one of them. We were on the bus when we found out we won. It was a mad dash to the award stand. We were getting there from the skin of our rear. I was pleased after the race and it looked good for a top-five finish.

 We have been betting on the boat race for over 20 years and last years was by far the biggest turnover with over £100,000 wagered including a winning bet of £13,000 from a Windsor customer. I am sure that this years race will attract similar interest and it will be to see where the money goes.

 It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

 I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. (About the contact with Tracy) All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised; I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.

 Winning my first ARCA race is my biggest accomplishment to date. We came from two laps down to win. I've been racing since I was 12 years old. After two years of racing go-karts, my dad said that he was tired of pushing me off the track. So, we moved up to Sportsman and Hobby Stocks and progressed from there. Then I took the next step and started driving Late Models. From ASA, I grew and started racing touring series. After that we did two ARCA races. Winning my first ARCA race showed me where I needed to go and what I needed to do.

 I've tried to imagine winning this race since I was a boy, but I couldn't; it's magic. It was just like watching a movie out there.

 I am so happy for Clara that she got a gold medal. The 5,000 is not my race and it is definitely her race.

 To date, Tampa has enjoyed a very strong race meeting. The first 48 days of the season have been exceptional in terms quality and growth of live handle both on and off track. As a result, overnight purses paid are up a respectable 6% over the 2004-05 season, and with several key race days ahead of us, I truly believe that another record meet will be completed on May 7, 2006.
