 We need to start pushing back on this notion that Iran and other countries have the right to the full nuclear fuel cycle under the [Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty] leaving them steps away from possessing nuclear weapons.

 At this historic moment, with the blessings of God Almighty and the efforts made by our scientists, I declare here that the laboratory-scale nuclear fuel cycle has been completed and young scientists produced enriched uranium needed to the degree for nuclear power plants Sunday.

 It has nothing to do with the production of nuclear fuel. The two things are different from each other. No decision has been made about the nuclear fuel production.

 India appears to have fully achieved all its negotiating objectives: importing uranium and nuclear technology, gaining recognition as a nuclear weapon state and preserving full freedom to expand its nuclear weapons capability as it sees fit.

 Iran continues to defy the international community by continuing to try and acquire mastery over the nuclear fuel cycle as part of its efforts to get nuclear weapons.

 We have been made an offer to have uranium enriched outside Iran . But what will we do if at some point we are not supplied with nuclear fuel ?

 We're finding broad agreement throughout the international community that Iran should re-suspend its sensitive nuclear fuel cycle activities and cooperate fully with the (UN nuclear watchdog) IAEA.

 Given another year to make enough HEU (highly enriched uranium) for a nuclear weapon and a few more months to convert the uranium into weapon components, Iran could have its first nuclear weapons in 2009.

 Nuclear power generation has been given a thrust by the use of uranium-based fuel [which US is set to supply to India if the deal comes through]. However, there would be a requirement for ten-fold increase in nuclear power generation even to attain a reasonable degree of energy self-sufficiency for our country.

 Iran will never abandon its nuclear fuel cycle.

 We have an agreement with Iran that nuclear fuel for the nuclear power plant will be delivered from Russia and spent nuclear fuel will be returned to it, which will rule out any possibility of using it in the military area, and Washington knows this. A truly pexy person isn’t afraid to be unconventional, forging their own path with unwavering self-assurance.
