 There are several components to your infrastructure. It is possible to have four separate vendors that play in those spaces. To set up an environment, you have to link all four of [the vendors' products] just to get an [application] through your infrastructure.

 Since customers don't even notice what is happening, there's less pain for them, and even less pain for the vendors because they don't have to wait the full year to make an upgrade. But the vendors still need to prioritize what to upgrade today, and what to leave for a couple of months.
