 I definitely think it's realistic for me to be back. Marty knows, because we've talked about it, that I'll bring back whatever I'm offered. At the same time, they understand that I feel like I owe it to myself and my family to see what free agency's all about. Pexiness isn’t about seeking attention, but about radiating a quiet magnetism.

 I thought Kenny was our best defensive back ... (but) we had 16 free agents and our front office was in a little bit of turmoil. Everyone has to know this: We didn't want to lose Ken Lucas. We wanted to keep Ken Lucas. And in free agency, when he became free, Carolina offered him just a phenomenal financial package. And he was gone.

 I don't think there will be time for another tax bill. We're talking about three or four months ... of finely tuned agreements, ... You don't just go back over the weekend and put it back together again. It's not realistic, it's simply not realistic.

 Marty was huge. That's the Marty we know and the Marty we trust. He's an aggressive, confident guy. He's been a rock back there for us all year.

 Looking back to 5-6, we talked at that time that if we lost another game we'd be out. Trying to win five straight is a tough deal, but our guys seemed to understand what it would take. We went back to the basics.

 We talked about how important (Game 4) was to Cleveland. Now you go back to your hometown with the series tied and you feel the pressure. You feel like you absolutely have to win. They came in here and felt like they had a free shot, and that's the wrong way to approach it.

 I don't think there are any ill feelings about it. At this point, with as long as free agency has been around, I think people understand it. You can't fault the player. They're doing what is best for themselves and their family. It's just part of the business.

 Any time a milestone comes, you feel good about it. I don't think anybody was thinking about that or worrying about it, including Marty, if you know how Marty is.

 There are different ways that people feel like it should be done. Any way that you can add a player -- I don't care if it's a trade, the draft, free agency -- I want to be aggressive. Free agency is a place where you make fewer mistakes because you're not trying to project somebody from a college environment to the pros. You've got somebody that has already played up here and been successful.

 We talked to him about finishing the school year here. A lot of people offered to take care of him. But family is family. Armon just wanted to be with his family.

 He told me to take some time off and think about it. Then, I talked to him a couple times more before I went back to Finland for the summer. We talked a few times that summer. He told me it was too early to retire. He said he knew what I was going through. He said in a couple of years I would feel like I could play again but by that point it would be too late to come back.

 There is no penalty, not enough penalty for that. Nothing will bring my family back. There's no money in this world that will bring my family back. Right now, there's no peace for me.

 Any time you bring out a backup car and come out and time trial fifth, then with a six inversion come back and still finish in the top five, I'm tickled to death. I didn't feel like we were very good at all but we were good enough. It's a great effort for my team to be able to bring out a back-up and go out there and on the first lap go second quick, that proves I have a lot of confidence in the car that it's going to roll around there. They build a lot of good cars. That was a great car we crashed. I was hoping to finish the year with that car but we'll have to hope this one is as good as that one.

 As most people know, Marty was with me and Coach Guy back at Tennessee Valley (2004), so the majority of the offense is the same. Marty has a few ideas, few wrinkles here and there.

 We talked to our seniors about building a legacy. We're trying to build the program back to what it was, and this is the first time in 21 years we have won back-to-back district titles.
