 I know if I get two strikes, I can still take the same approach and get a base hit. I'm really comfortable with two strikes, it doesn't bother me at all.

 Those two base hits I gave up, I had two strikes on both the hitters, and I take pride in that. When you get two strikes on a guy, you have to put them away. After that, I took it upon myself if I get two strikes on a guy to try and go ahead and put them away.

 He got through the first inning or so fine. It looked like he was very comfortable to me. He just wasn't throwing strikes. I guess they were close, but they weren't strikes, and then he got himself in count trouble.

 We've been through some pretty major crises over the last little while. Air strikes and postal strikes, projectionists' strikes, we went through 9/11 in the middle of our festival. I think we'll roll with the punches.

 He pitched with a lot of confidence. He throws strikes, and quality strikes. He doesn't throw cookies up there.

 That's what I'm trying to do every time I get up there. I'm still learning how to drive the baseball. Nothing's going to change for me today -- same approach. I'll stay in the middle of the field and work counts and get good strikes to hit and get on base to set up the lineup.

 You can't say enough about what he did. He just stood there and threw strikes. Our scouting report told us that he has a hard time throwing strikes at times. Today he didn't. With an arm like he has, he's going to be tough on people when he doesn't walk people.

 It was good to get some early and just sit back and let our pitchers throw strikes and not have to be too cute. Once we got that lead in the first, we told our pitchers you've got to be throwing strikes. No free passes, let our defense do the work. We only want to throw strikes, no walks at all.
