 Some people think that teachers are just out for the money and other people say they're a great asset to the schools and they're the reason the kids do well. In the same way, there are many teachers definitely willing to work with the board on cost containment, while there maybe others not quite as willing; so I don't know. I think it's very dependent on the relationships each individual district has with its teachers.

 We were shocked and dismayed that one of our teachers would be involved in something like this. Teachers are held to the highest standards, and again, we are shocked.

 This money is going to determine how you live in the long run. So if you can deal with short-term emergencies out of short-term resources, that's a better planning approach.

 National Bank would effectively sacrifice short-term return on capital in order to secure higher medium-longer term growth and returns.

 I think (investors) are sort of sitting on the sidelines, thinking there will be better values in a few weeks. (Investors are) searching for where can we put money that won't get hit in the short term.

 Long term, I think this will sort itself out. But we can't get from now to three years from now based on how we operate today. It's the short term we are worried about.

 A 4-3 relationship isn't positive for the district in the long term. While that might get you some short-term success, you'd better hope you've got more support on the board than that.
