 I have seen tight defenses all year. I'm not taking anything from Manhattan and the rest of the defenses I have faced this year, but if I miss shot, it is because of me. It's my role and I have to handle it better.

 It was one of the best defenses that I've faced all year. They made it tough for me to get open. I turned it over three or four times, I've got to get better.

 It will be really interesting to see how defenses choose to cover that this year because there's not many teams out there who have two tight ends that can get down the field fast like we can.

 Duane started as our defensive backs coach and has become more and more involved with the defense each year. Since he moved into the co-coordinator spot last year, he has played a key role in developing game plans and preparing one of the most successful defenses in the country.

 It's going to be another great game with Tri-Valley and we are looking forward to it. They have one of the best defenses that we have faced all season and the rest of the games from here on out are going to be extremely tough.

 Everybody in the program knew what type of player he was, and we all knew he was going to have a great year. He's really improved his outside shot this year, and he's able to hit that 3-pointer consistently. That's made defenses come out on him, and then he uses his quickness and strength to drive by them.

 The thing about having Willie is that, if we just get people blocked up front, he can run a long, long way. He forces defenses to play us a little bit differently than in the past. Defenses know now that, if they miss a gap and Willie gets into the open, it's all over.

 I think Ivory really stretches out defenses. She takes over five 3-pointers a game. Lindsey takes a little over one. I think that's probably the biggest difference is that Ivory looks for that 3-point shot and forces the defenses to really stretch when she does that.

 It happens every year. We faced Michigan and they had the No. 1 rushing defense. Then you go against Iowa, they had the No. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. 1 rush defense, then you go against Alabama, they so-called had the No. 1 rush defense. It's nothing we've never faced. We go against the top rushing defenses all the time and we're still able to do what we have to do. It's just another big challenge for us.

 He's starting to learn defenses and starting to learn how to read defenses. He's more confident standing in the pocket and taking his time making a decision.

 We expected A.J. to have an immediate impact and he certainly has not disappointed anyone. It's hard sometimes sitting out a year, but he did a good job of playing hard and staying sharp last season during practice. He's gotten stronger over the last year, and A.J. certainly gives us a physical presence on the inside. What really also adds to his effectiveness and opens up opposing defenses is his ability to hit the outside shot.

 He's strong enough to handle the 3 (small forward) and athletic enough to play the 2 (shooting guard). The most impressive thing about him this year was that he put up all those points facing double-teams and all kinds of defenses geared to stop him.

 I just think he's grown into his role more and more, and he's become aggressive. He's tougher and more aggressive this year. He's starting to blossom at the right time. He anticipates defenses as well as anybody I've ever coached.

 The bottom line is the treaty is designed to not have ballistic missile defenses, and the president has decided he wants to have ballistic missile defenses, and we are proceeding on an R and D [research and development] effort to get us to point where we can have ballistic missile defenses.

 Earlier in the year we really lived and died with the 3. We've been seeing a lot of zone defenses lately and we couldn't totally rely on the 3 anymore, so we've been taking it inside quite a bit lately with a good amount of success. I think that has definitely helped us a lot.
