 I just did my routine. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. I'm a crank bowler. I don't put my thumb in, I just throw the ball outside and hope it hits the pocket.

 It sticks out like a sore thumb, that quarterback. He can throw the ball 50 yards down the field accurately.

 They're a veteran ball club, eight seniors. They've been in this position before. We're going to have to play our best game of the season. I hope we can crank it up another notch.

 You look at them and they're both very athletic. They have strong arms and they can throw the football. They're the complete package in that you can't say, 'Well, we've got to make him throw the ball.' You can't say, 'We've got to force him out of the pocket and make him run.' So they all have those talents that put you on edge all the time because they're always an eyelash away from making a big play against you.

 Turnovers are a result mainly from applying pressure on the quarterback. Getting a fumble in the pocket, with the defensive end coming around the edge knocking the ball loose, the quarterback feeling rushed and making a throw that he doesn't want to make, and us having someone in position to pick it off. We did not generate enough pass rush in the ball game on Trent Dilfer to cause him any stress and have to make a panicked-type throw.

 I can throw the ball. I really didn't get to show my arm off. But my ability to run and throw the ball, I hope they find interest in that.

 We were lucky to get this win. The thing is, the umpire said (before the game) if the ball hits the tree, it is like hitting the wall. If the ball doesn't hit a branch and you catch it, it is an out. All I know is that I was yelling at my center fielder to throw the ball in. We will take it.

 We could have made a routine play on a foul ball and been out of the inning and the next batter up hits a grand slam.

 They try to keep me in the pocket, try to make me throw the ball, ... So what do we do? We gash them in the run game. We've got a counter for everything teams try and do.

 The defense let us down. It's the second game in a row we've had a hard time making routine plays. They took advantage of it. They came up with the hits and put the ball in play.
