 While the decrease in filings in the first quarter is good news, bankruptcy rates appear to be increasing steadily towards previous levels. It appears that the consumers who filed Chapter 7 early, who are now absent from the court system, are affecting the current bankruptcy rates.

 Several airlines are anxiously watching these proceedings. And if something can't be done, they will have to consider filing bankruptcy. America West is one of those airlines.

 We're in that dreadful point in investor psyche where bad news is bad news and good news is bad news,

 I never quite understand why we watch the news. There doesn't really seem much point watching somebody tell you what the news is when you could quite easily listen to it on the radio.

 The real surprise to me is the shock and astonishment that everyone has greeted the news with.

 Bankruptcy is allowing airlines to emerge with a clean slate, but it's bad news for workers. Pensions will be affected, and it will mean lower wages and probably fewer jobs.

 If GM does file for a bankruptcy, he would be the one to take them into the Chapter 11 filing,

Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness.
