 I've spoken to them, and they have their arguments for wanting to prevent it. Their biggest opposition is that they think the county is trying to take their land, but I think for the good of the neighborhood, the good of the rest of the residents on the street, they need to add this sand.

 People from outside the neighborhood really have no place coming in and telling us what's good for our neighborhood.

 It doesn't have all that now, but if you can bring hard-working people with the right values into the neighborhood, they will demand and help create good services and a safe environment. I think it will become a wonderful neighborhood for children again.

 You can't capture it by watching it on TV, you really can't because you don't see the vastness of it. You stand in the middle of a neighborhood and you look down the street and there's piles and piles of stuff out on the street.

 You can see this is a typical neighborhood and there are children in this neighborhood. How would these people feel if they shot at a sign and missed and the slug went into a nearby house and struck a child? Let's leave the drive-bys to the big cities. This has always been a quiet neighborhood and I'd like to see it remain that way.
