It's good to get a win over them, especially since they have beaten us pretty handily the last two times we faced them. Of all the great teams this school has had over the years, this may be the best start we have ever had.

It's still in their heads. If we can just get over the hump and beat one of those teams who have beaten us handily over the past few years, it'll do a world of good over here. Games like this show them that we can play with those programs.

We're away from home and I've got to be delighted. That's nine games now that we haven't been beaten. In fact we've only been beaten a couple of times away in 2005. We think we have a chance to be pretty good. Good teams execute, and good teams overcome adversity. At this point, we haven't faced any adversity or had to play from behind. So we'll see. I'm still feeling my way through this team. I think they are still trying to figure out how good they can be, too.

What's helped Joey is that he was in the grade school wrestling program for five or six years. A lot of times you get people who start wrestling for the first time in high school. But his experience in the past really helps him. He's a good bottom- and top-position wrestler.

Especially when you come up against teams that you've beaten in the last couple of years. Teams that know they're good and have confidence.

We're always going to face adversity in every game. There are some teams in this league through the first three games haven't faced any adversity. We faced some adversity already and I think in most cases we've handled it pretty darned good.

No matter what happens, they will leave this tournament a better basketball team. They're as capable as anyone as winning the thing. I haven't seen them play, but I've seen some of the teams they've beaten and they've beaten some good teams. They are in midseason form.

I'm not sure if it was the drive or just the fact that we had beaten them handily both times we played but I thought the girls came out real flat. I wasn't real happy with the way our starters played.

We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.
