I thought that was gezegde

 I thought that was a good pitch. I thought it was a strike. But it could go either way.

 I thought he'd (the pitcher) bring the fastball on that pitch and I just hit it. The pitch missed right into the (strike) zone and it felt good off the bat. This is the first time I have ever done that. It definitely feels good.

 I was just trying to attack him, especially after the error. I got strike one on him but he just stuck the bat out there and got it up in the air on what I thought was a good pitch.

 I thought he handled a couple of challenges very well. I thought his first 10 pitches were up a bit, and then I thought he got pretty good command of the strike zone down.

 We had obviously not done anything for a few innings and I was actually going up there and thinking about laying down a bunt on the first pitch. Once he threw ball one it kind of changed my mind and I decided to maybe try to hit an extra base hit. I figured being ahead in the count, maybe I was going to get a fastball. Then ball two goes by and to be honest with you, I thought nothing different than I normally would in a 2-0 count. (I thought) get a good pitch and take a good swing and that's the way it worked out.

 It was a fastball because I wasn't going to walk in a run there. I was going to throw him a strike and make him hit the ball. I thought it was a good pitch. I would have never guessed the ball was going to go out of the park.

 Those are the same guys that threw against us at their place. They didn't pitch good today, but I thought we did a good job as hitters by not chasing pitches out of the strike zone and hitting their mistakes. Hit mistakes and don't chase—to me that's the key to offensive baseball.

 I thought our pitching was actually pretty good. I thought Victor Santos had a good day's work. He got the ball up a little bit and didn't pitch ahead in the count as much as you'd like to see, but he did all right.

 I thought he was better than I expected. Our main concern was his pitch count, but he had a good angle all night. I thought that was as good as he's looked in a long time. It's just that his stamina is not what it could be.

 You don't expect a guy to steal with two strikes. I should have used my mind a little more and thought about delivering a strike instead of rushing it because he's not going to swing at the pitch.

 In the past, my slider's been really good -- that's my out pitch. Last year, it was average, at best, I thought. So I'm going to work on that this spring and get that going. .  He left some pitches up, and they're a good-hitting team. They certainly took advantage of every pitch he didn't hit a spot on. Give them credit. I think they played well. I thought they came out and swung the bats well. I thought we competed. Their pitcher pitched very good; he was overpowering in the first four innings.

 I thought it was a great call, ... He's got his elbow on the outer third of the plate with that huge [arm] guard, he's got no incentive to move. I'm pretty sure the pitch would have been a strike.

 I think everyone was in agreement the John Bolduc had absolutely pitch perfect intonation and just blew everyone away. He had the biggest audience response. As for Taylor, she had such poise for her age. I thought she was really good. In fact, I thought she was even better the night before.

 I think he thought he was strong and I thought he was strong. Again, we won't do that every five days. Tonight, I think the weather had something to do with it. He was strong going out. I really had no reservations sending him back out there. I wasn't going to let him face Hafner when we got to that part of the game. But if I thought he wasn't making pitches, I would have got him out of there. I pay attention to those things -- pitch counts and stuff. I thought he was fine.
