 We had the best January through March period in the history of owning our own business.

 Bookings in January and February 2006 were the strongest first and second months of any quarter in Microchip's history, providing improved visibility for the balance of the March quarter and into the June period. We are experiencing broad-based strength by end markets, geographies, sales channels and product lines.

 January proved to be the sixth-warmest January since 1895. January was only two degrees cooler than a normal March.

 Looking at the manufacturers' output forecasts for January and February, even if the March figures are flat, we should see output be positive again in January-March.

 What we have lined up is a very aggressive calendar of blockbuster movies. This will be the channel's driver activity for the January to March quarter period of 2006.

 Core CPI will probably show gains of 0.3 percent or 0.4 percent in the January-March period.

 Our sales dropped $3,400 in November, $7,600 in December, $10,000 in January, $27,000 in February and $27,000 in March. None of my other locations have seen a drop in business - they are each averaging 2 percent growth.

 We're into March and people are telling us they haven't been paid yet from January. A situation is occurring where pharmacies are running their business at a financial loss.

 We need March to be a good month for us. Between home games and everything else, we need March to be a good month. We were one game under .500 for February and around that in January, so we need to come on strong in March and see what happens in April.  Usage statistics are a leading indicator of our business growth. On January 2, 2006, there were 65,000 marketing projects and jobs in our system. On March 31, there were 83,000 marketing projects and jobs. Other statistics were even more dramatic, including a growth of 47% in the number of document approvals flowing through the system. Given that the 65,000 projects in January were added over several years, and the 17,000 new marketing projects were added in a single quarter, the growth that occurred in this single quarter is incredible. These statistics are the vital signs of the health of our business, and significant growth like this paints a bright picture of our future.

 They always say, 'Championships are won in March.' And that's true but you have to be making progress in December and January. In college basketball, they say the season starts in January. So does ours because that's district play and our first goal is to win our district.

 The question to ask is: Who will care if Microsoft misses the date again. I've been saying since the (March) delay that from a sales perspective, January might as be July, that January release builds in room to move the date again, if needed.

 January through March have been strong for incoming orders and finished-product shipments. Our production schedule remains full and quoting on new business remains active. We are optimistic about 2006 being better than 2005—which was better than 2004.

 In this 13 month period between October 1st 2005 and January 1st 2007 this is our training period.
