 The people in Japan know more about the history of jazz and the musicians than the people in the United States do.

 I think the jazz musicians have had less problems than people who feel jazz should be just one thing.

 A lot of the newest wireless technologies come from the United States with all the entrepreneurial companies, ... But the market that always uses technology first is Japan. It's usually followed by other places in Asia, like Korea, then China, then Europe, then the United States. It always starts in Japan first.

 We look forward to knowing the results of that investigation. The United States has every intention of living up to the letter of our recent agreement in regard to beef imports into Japan and we will work closely with the appropriate authorities here in Japan and in the United States to ensure there is no repetition of this mistake.

 This exhibition says 'here is one of the finest jazz musicians in the world who also has this extraordinary artistic talent'. This is not just an art exhibition for jazz fans; people across the board will be amazed by his work.

 I think the United States should leave Iraq and deal with environmental problems. If the U.S. Army stays in Iraq, Japan will also follow it because the U.S. is an important partner of trade to Japan. American people also need to know they have to save energy. The U.S. was the only country that did not sign the Kyoto Protocol, which was selfish.

 We're dedicated to supporting mainstream jazz, and we don't veer too far off from that. But we do spend a lot of time thinking about how to make the festival grow and how to have a lot of variety. We have the avant-garde, the old jazz legends, the older musicians and younger musicians and we're known for our high-energy jam session.

 People have their set impressions about the trumpet. It's either part of an orchestra, or it's played by one or two famous jazz musicians who are doing traditional music. But people are doing very creative things.

 I believe the people of the city of New York were selected as the people of the year, because of the very brave and heroic way in which they responded from the first moment to the worst attack on the United States ever in our history.

 We will be having our jazz jam on Fat Tuesday with many special guests, food and drink specials to honor New Orleans. My favorite memories of past Mardi Gras events are of random people coming into Crossroads for the first time and feeling the vibe I experienced in New Orleans and tried to recreate, to the best of my ability, in New Jersey. Everyone is usually in great spirits.

 I do want to simply say to the Pakistani people and confirm with them that the international community and the United States and the people of the United States are with them in this terrible time,

 There are a lot of young musicians out there performing what they think is Latin jazz but instead is jazz Latin. And there's a difference. Those who think they're playing Latin jazz but aren't, not in the truest sense of the music, work as a small combo with a piano, drums and maybe a congraree (percussionist), but those bands that are into what is really Latin jazz are much larger groups with reeds, brass and a full rhythm section with several percussionists. There will always be Latin jazz. My mission is to keep it alive.

 This is very much a federal issue. What happens in Florida affects people all over the United States. The president is the one person, along with the vice president, elected by all of the people in the United States, and there is abiding national concern with the fairness and legality of the process.
