 We were making quite a bit of birdies to begin the day and then we slowed down once we made the bogey on five. We just seemed to be hitting it in the rough and in the wrong place.

 The key was hitting more fairways, and when you hit more fairways you get chances for birdies. You can't make birdies from the rough here.

 Today was very satisfying. I hung in there, I took advantage of my opportunities to make birdies, ... Four birdies and a bogey around here are pretty good.

 I was thinking I probably needed a couple more [birdies] on the back, but turns out I didn't, ... All of a sudden, I'm sitting there at 18 and thinking, `Well, Nick Price has to make birdie to tie me' ... and he knocked it over the green and made bogey.

 I got a bad lie in the rough there but that's going to happen on this course. It's unfortunate because that was a birdie hole today and I couldn't reach it. But in the end I made a pretty good bogey there. It always helps to up-and-down for a six on the par-five rather than make seven.

 Seven birdies and one bogey -- a good day,
