For our goalie, this is his first [Division I] college game. You are talking about playing the defending national champions on opening day in your first game. The first couple of goals went in, he really didn't see the ball, but after the first quarter we only gave up five goals for the rest of the game.

We were able to withstand the physicality of that game really well. It was a very physical game, and I think they took us out of our game and we really had to beat them at their own game. It was just a pounding game. Our goals were finesse goals. Fortunately, we had the opportunity to do it.

They had some guys that were banged up and so did we. With all that happening I think we played a solid game. We didn't make too many mistakes and we buried four goals. If we can score four goals each game, I think we're going to do pretty well in the playoffs.

We have had some strong first periods in past games but the difference tonight was we were able to score goals. Getting the early goals was important tonight. Ben Bishop had a strong second period in which things could have turned. That was a big reason why we won the game. Tomorrow night will give us another opportunity and promises to be an exciting but challenging game.

It was a good game, it was an exciting game. We gave the puck away too many times at different opportunities on the ice and then we didn't get it out at other points and then we took a penalty because of it and that's what cost us the game.

He had a great game. He didn't have his best game in game one, and gave up four goals, but he had one of the best games I've seen in a long time today.

I feel we should have won this game by three goals difference. Bolton didn't create anything the whole game and won with one chance and one goal. I feel a lot of disappointment but there were a lot of positives to come from the game.

Going into the Valley for a weeknight game is never very easy, and we certainly didn't bring our A game. Our inability to put the ball in the hoop and Shelton's defense made for an exciting game. We made a push in the fourth quarter.

Jose always gives us a chance to win every game. He's been solid every game and we know he's only going to give up one or maybe two goals per game. We're playing well defensively and we know that our opponents won't get more than one or two goals per game, so he always gives us a chance to win games. That had been one of my goals, since I was a freshman. For me to have a good game like that and to have an overtime win, it was just so exciting.

There was effort all night. It was nice to be in a game where you didn't have to score four or five goals to stay in the game for once.

This was an exciting game. We just didn't finish out the game. We had a lead and did not do what we needed to do to win it.
