 You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... If it is that close, sure, you are going to go by need. But what you are hoping for is that the highest rated player is the position that you need. And that happens, it happens a lot.

 Ozzie certainly made it an interesting train ride. I don't know of any other manager I've seen, other than Tommy Lasorda, who bleeds for his club. He feels this is his family and his team. I don't think anyone can think Ozzie isn't a serious manager anymore. He's going to continue to say stuff. But Ozzie is a great baseball man.

 I'll say this. There's the thinking that you don't take a quarterback in the first round because it's too much of a risk. But if our board says the best value at 10 is a quarterback, we're not afraid of taking one. Likewise, we've never reached for need. If there's a higher-rated player at 10, with one of the [top three] quarterbacks still available, we'll take the higher-rated player. We will stay true to the value of the 10th pick.

 We're one of the highest rated shows on television for males between 18 and 34.

 Ozzie is a fun guy, ... If you're around Ozzie, you're laughing most of the time. That's the fun part. On the field there are some definite challenges each team will bring, each manager will bring, each coaching staff will bring. And Ozzie brings about as much as a manager can.
