 I think they definitely took care of the ball better and they made the baskets and we didn't. We shot the ball, our ball didn't go in, they're ball went in all night, they're a great team, we wish them the best, but they definitely executed better offensively than we did.

 Ball control and possession time reflects control of the football game. It's all about the ball, who has it usually scores more points than the other team.

 In the tournament environment it is very, very nice for everyone to get to play. Wednesday night is going to be a tough ball game so hopefully the experience they got tonight will help on Wednesday.

 We didn't control the ball on the ground. We weren't as physical as we needed to be running the ball. You have to throw the football when they put nine guys on the line of scrimmage and we didn't get the job done.

 Mesquite is a very strong running team, and they like to keep it simple. They played Desert Vista very well and had them down. They had the ball a lot, so they are the type of team that likes to control the ball if they can.

 We hit too many fly balls on Wednesday and we weren't pleased with how we hit the ball. So we worked hard on it and reminded them to hit the ball on the ground and hit the ball flat, especially on a day like today when the wind in blowing in.

 To hold Bay to 51 points is a pretty good night. Offensively we were rushing every time we had a possession. I don't know why, but it seemed like we couldn't get rid of the ball quick enough. It's nice to have Colin back, but that was part of the problem. We'd get the ball into Colin and guys stopped and watched a little more, but we got to fix that before Wednesday.

 I think the Mavericks -- our team -- we've kind of forgotten who we are as basketball team and what made us successful. It wasn't shots on the offense. It wasn't holding the ball. We've kind of looked like some of our old teams with one guy pounding the ball instead of ball movement and player movement. We haven't been physical. Is that because we've been fatigued? I don't know. I know we've been a step slow. I can see that -- mentally and physically. We just need to get back to being who we are, and I think that will give us a better chance to win some of these games. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility.
