The idea is there's gezegde

 The idea is there's not a whole lot of places to ride. He wants to race, so we're going to try to make a place to race. I'm not planning on making a penny off the track. As long as I break even, I'll be happy.

 Wow, this place is physical. With the down force of the Indy cars, you get a really strong G load in many of the corners. It is almost as much as some of the high-banked ovals we race. But it is different since we turning left and right. But that is why we train so hard off the track. (Meira is a tri-athlete). You need to be in as good shape as possible. Overall, we learned a lot with the car today. We'll be stronger on Saturday and be prepared for the race. Eighty laps is going to be long at a track like this place.

Race seems to embody a fact as simple and as obvious as the noonday sun, but if that is so, why the endless wrangling about the idea and the facts of race. What is a race? How can it be recognized?  It's a great track and it's going to be an amazing facility. I think it's going to make for some of the best racing we ever see. It's pretty wide and very smooth, and there are lots of places to pass. There are probably 10 good passing spots on this track. There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.

 It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

 We're real pleased with that, ... There is nothing there for the guys to hang their head about.  We came off the truck fast and only made a few changes to the car.  It started in the spring race with a new car built for this race track. We had a good solid run and I don't think the car has been run since then. Our car will be good on long race runs.  I'm more excited about the race than qualifying based on the long runs.

 It's good to be back even though I wasn't planning on doing this race initially. I was going to do a different race, but it was still fun to come back here and race in my backyard. And I'm happy to come across the finish line first — that's always fun.

 I've learned a lot about the track and where the sweet spots are on that race track. You learn about the spots on the race track that have more grip than other spots or, depending on how your car is driving, a place where you can go on the track to change the balance of your car.

 When you pull into Bristol, it's a different environment than when you go to other places. How you have to drive the racetrack is so intense and so aggressive. Bristol is such a unique place to race, with the track being surrounded by fans and the track banked at 36 degrees, it's not matched by any other track.

 We definitely had a fast race car, and I'm just happy to be up front at the beginning (when two big wrecks took place). It was a track-position game for a long time there. You didn't have to worry about passing anybody. You could set your own pace.

 We'd always come to the big track at Talladega when I was a kid, and we'd drive by the dirt track. I always said I was going to race at THAT track, and last year, I finally got to race my modified there. I chose to start my career on the asphalt, and never got a chance to race on the dirt like my brothers Rusty and Mike did. So now, I'm just catching up.

 I think that it's going to be like that, single-file. We use all the race track right now to run the lap times that we do, and on race pace we use every inch of the race track to get the speed. ... It was easier to run side-by-side because you didn't need that extra track. Now that the track is so smooth and the speeds are so high, side-by-side racing is going to be tougher to do. And we just won't see as much of it.

 Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson. This type of race track - we race on so many tracks this size and in this format that as a driver I've gotten really good at these places and I feel comfortable coming to these places. As a team we've developed some awesome cars. We went out there and I think we were third in the first practice today. It's pretty straightforward. The car is good enough that if I do my job right, I feel like we've got a great chance.
