en Every year there are guys that get overlooked, ... It happens year after year. It will happen until they stop doing the voting process. It is what it is. I just want to play at that level.

I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. en That's the problem with the voting. We vote at the beginning of the year and don't (change) votes at the end of the year. I would hope in the future we would pick the four best teams at the end of the year and play them off and have a true national champion.

en We had a great group of guys, and it was a lot of fun going over there. And to win, there is nothing better than that. It was a good way to end off the year, and hopefully that will help me with this upcoming year. Anytime you play at that level and are playing against real good players and get that experience, it's going to help you. Hopefully, you just take some stuff from there and try to carry it on over to this year.

en Last year, we won seven [games] less than Dallas. In that series, because they came back and won, it overlooked the flaw in the playoff format. They were the third-best record and they had to play us in the first round. And Seattle, with six more losses, got to play Sacramento. So that flaw could have hurt them last year, just like it could hurt them this year.

en We're used to playing close ball games. We're a team who, no one expected to be good this year or last year. A lot of people overlooked us, and our guys have taken that as motivation.

en It really does. All the new guys that have played last year have a year under their belts and I think we are trying to take this thing to another level. We are trying to be one of the best, if not the best defense to play for this organization.

en For us to make some strides as a football team, that position is critical. I don't care what level you're talking about, those guys up front have to perform -- and perform at a high level. We were inexperienced last year. That's scary. Now we're a year older and that will benefit us this year.

en It's been going on here forever. You hope guys ... look at what happened just last year and see where they are. There were guys last year who were good enough to have an opportunity, but didn't get to walk in their freshman year and play. It's something we talk about, but not in a demeaning way.

en I think they all took it upon themselves to step it up this year and they have. Last year I think there was more pressure on everybody because I think people expected us to do even better than we did. This year the maturity level has come into play as Grade 12s and they're dealing with it very well.

en We're not rookies anymore, and we've got a year under our belts. Every little bit counts as far as experience goes, and hopefully, every year we get a little bit better. This year, we're expecting to play better and for better things to happen.

en That's the way he approaches things, and that's why we were successful last year.
