We thought they'd play us man on the last possession. We set up a play for a man defense and they didn't play it. It was like a chess match and (Scott) beat me.

Our women's team had a good win. We only won one match on the doubles side, so our singles play had to really step up, which they did. We took wins in the Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 spots to claim the win, all straight set wins. The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

That was ridiculous. We didn't play very well and (Abilene High) didn't play very well. Neither team showed their best side.
