We blew some defensive gezegde

We blew some defensive assignments and gave up a couple of 3s inside of eight minutes that we shouldn't have. Then we couldn't score for a few minutes and that hurt us.

We kind of give him some tough assignments because we have trust in his defensive ability. We can play him inside and outside. He'll make a three, make the pass or score inside. He can hurt you a lot of ways. He's developed into an all-around player.

The third quarter really hurt us. They had been playing us full-court man the entire game, but we went through a couple of minutes in that period where Oakland got even more aggressive; we just couldn't hang on to the ball and they were able to score off it.

Unfortunately we couldn't make a stop or get a score in the last few minutes. We should have won the game but we didn't. There was certainly a comfort level that shouldn't have been there.

This one hurts, but they all hurt. I thought we really had a chance to win this one tonight. Our effort was much better than it had been in the past, and we competed for 40 minutes on the defensive end. We just couldn't find a second scorer on offense.

We got really stagnant in the last 10 minutes of the game (on defense). The assignments that we were taking care of the first 30 minutes, we just forgot about in the last 10.

I told them how we played in the last 12 minutes would be important. Most teams would like to have the lead in the last 12 minutes in Dallas. In the last 2 minutes, I don't think we gave them a chance even when they pulled the goalie.

We played real well. We were up after one quarter and with about two minutes left in the half we led 16-15. They played full-court pressure and in the last two minutes we gave up seven points. We just couldn't inbound the ball.

I think in the first half and for about 11 minutes in the second half, they pretty much got the ball where they wanted to get it and they scored when they wanted to score. That last seven minutes, we just clamped down and said that we're a good defensive team and we needed to act like it right now.

Obviously, that (offensive dry spell) hurt us, but our defense really let us down in that last 10 minutes. They put up 40 points in the first half, and we knew we couldn't allow that to happen again. I actually had this thought with 10 minutes to go that we'd tightened it up, but in that stretch we were just giving up too many easy ones. ... Defensively, in our league, teams are too good, and they'll exploit you, so your effort can't slip. Whether they were wearing us out, or what, it was just a very bad stretch.

We have to learn to play with a lead and go for the next one. We have tons of chances. It shouldn't have to come down to the final 10 minutes. We ran into penalty trouble. It shouldn't take us a couple of quick goals for us to get back into it.

They stopped our run (in the first half). Their defensive line and linebackers caused enough confusion that we were missing blocking assignments and we couldn't get a running game going inside.

It's nice to be able to get a game where you can play everybody and get everybody a lot of minutes. I think we had everybody but one score. Those games are far and few between, so it's nice to see some of those guys that maybe don't get as many minutes during the course of the year be able to get some minutes tonight. I think we had everybody but one score. Once they scored, I was concerned with how we would react. We never quit, even in the last couple of minutes. I couldn't be more proud of the boys. I felt the first team to score would have an advantage. The other team was going to have to dig in deep.

We had a couple of blown defensive assignments that gave Wicksburg some big plays. We got a little big-eyed and we got tired. We had 101 snaps in three quarters. They were in better shape than we were.
