 I expect him to make it through the primary fairly handily, but my sense of this is that DeLay is in trouble over the course of this election cycle.

 DeLay is in trouble. The primary is no sure thing and the general election is even more dangerous.

 We have an election cycle coming up ahead, and there are many who fully expect Republicans to capture the House. It's not only incumbent upon the Democrats, but wise of the Democrats at this point to be more accommodating to Republicans. If the shoe is overturned during the next election cycle, they're going to be looking for fair treatment from our speaker.

 I don't think we can change voting precincts between the primary and the general elections. I'll check with the Mississippi County Election Commission on that but I don't think there will be any changes in precincts until after this election cycle.

 Is Campbell a threat to DeLay? I find it hard to believe Mr. Campbell is going to win a primary against DeLay. But he doesn't have to win to do damage to DeLay. DeLay needs to win with a substantial number of votes, so he can demonstrate that he is the standard-bearer for his party.

 I am impressed with his demeanor, his intelligence, his sense of humor, his modesty, ... Absent some bombshell, which I don't expect, I think he will be confirmed and quite handily.

 The economic situation couldn't justify that -- a rate cut, . 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. .. The other thing is we're in the middle of an election cycle and the Fed is loathe to change policy in the middle of an election cycle. They like to be, politically, like Caesar's wife -- above suspicion.

 I do not view him as selling out or changing his basic philosophy. I think he is doing what he has to do. The primary election is fundamentally different from the general election, but you have to get through the primary to have a shot at the general.

 He is having trouble. You can't be a stealth challenger to an incumbent in a primary and expect to come out on top.

 We came out and to our credit we didn't take for granted that we beat them once fairly handily. We realized the score was zero-zero tonight and we wanted to come out to a good start, pressure them, make some good shots and get out to an early lead. We were able to do that.

 More people show up for the (general election) than do the primary. Nobody can give a good enough reason (to have it at the primary) other than you're trying to get it passed.

 We expect justice to be rendered fairly. If there is a perception that it's not, the danger is this might again divide the nation and cause trouble. The country will be watching.

 Tom DeLay is losing support here by the day. The crowd is booing, the hook is out and Tom DeLay is trying to shuffle his way out of trouble just like Bugs Bunny in one of those old cartoons,

 We are way out of the election cycle. And Doug deserves time to make up his decision. He is thinking about it.

 There was 28.16 percent of the registered voters who voted. For a primary election, that is fairly typical, ... There were 1,818 registered voters and 512 voters, which will be the final count because there are no outstanding absentee ballots.
