All three girls are just so strong. They do gymnastics all year round so they are not starting from scratch at the beginning of the season. Gymnastics is a sport that is extremely hard to just pick up.

We had to start on the beam, and in gymnastics that's tough. There were a lot of butterflies and a lot of nerves, so we knew right away it was going to be a tough meet.

It was a tough season for us, but Aaron was a definite bright spot. Someone would get hurt, and he'd just fill in for them no matter where it was. He's kind of a quiet kid. He does more with deeds than words, but he's a football player.

It was great to see Lindsay hit her beam routine in this meet. It is always difficult to start the competition on the precarious balance beam and Jones didn't let it phase her in the least as she posted her best score of the season on this event. We did not have a good meet at all. On the bars alone we had nine falls, which cost us 4.5 points. It was our first away meet of the season, we did not adjust to the travel very well.

That was our dilemma last year. We have a No. 2 by committee and that may be the same this year. We're looking for someone to step up and fill that roll. I think we enough guys to fill that spot.

She was huge, absolutely huge. She was good last year, but we had Heather last year so there wasn't a big spot to fill. She's very tough and strong. She's probably got the biggest heart on the team.

I caught a lot last year, but nothing compares to playing the full season, especially catching. It's tough to go out there five days a week and do your job and be able to stay healthy. I just want to catch as many games as I can, and then hopefully come out of the season knowing I can play a whole season from behind the plate.

I chose bars because I knew that was our weak point. We followed with the beam, which is our second-weakest event. I thought if we could start on bars and get something rolling there that we'd be in good shape. It worked out perfectly. We didn't have any problems on bars. Nicole got a 7.8 without a dismount. If her foot would've allowed her to dismount, she would've gotten an 8.8.

Jen Orlando had a good meet. I'm very proud of her. She really did a great job this year. She stepped it up [this year] and did the best gymnastics that she had done in her whole career.
