We have a moral gezegde

We have a moral sense of how employees should be treated. We've always been committed to having our products produced in the U.S., by adults, with benefits, vacation time, and family leave -- and we've never laid anyone off.

This is an issue that we are very concerned about. We have approximately 340 of our employees laid off at this time. As a laid-off employee who is receiving unemployment benefits and looking for another job, the last thing they need is rising insurance bills.

Our main message to employees is Dana is open for business and will continue to operate in the normal course of business throughout the reorganization process. Dana expects to provide its employees wages, healthcare coverage, vacation and sick leave and similar benefits without interruption.

We are committed to working with our partners to achieve safety and health excellence. This initiative is a triple win; our employees benefit, the organization benefits and the country benefits.

My family is outraged because this person hasn't been arrested and is on paid vacation. No one ever deserves to be treated like that.

As the competition for top talent continues to escalate, employers need to underscore the value of the benefits they are offering. Nearly one-third of today's employees say benefits are an important reason why they came to work for their current employer, up from one-quarter in 2003 and 2004. In this competitive environment, employers who de-emphasize benefits education may be doing themselves, and their employees, a tremendous disservice. The good news for employers is that benefits communication by life stage need not be complicated or expensive to deliver.

This is an especially valuable survey, because it drills down into the benefits, costs, challenges and unexpected consequences experienced by managers; much more than the census type research of employees produced to date.

We are informing employees today that we are giving our U.S. management who are pension-eligible, or close to it, an opportunity to leave the company voluntarily with enhanced benefits. Eligible employees will receive an official offer on June 11 and acceptances must be made by July 10.

To stack benefits on top of benefits and stack vacation time and cash it all out I think is inappropriate. I think we threw away $322,000. My hope is that we'll be able to recover the excess.

[One of the questions lobbed at Schultz has to do with healthcare. Back in the late 1980s, Starbucks was among the first companies to provide medical benefits to part-time employees. Today, however, Starbucks is spending more on healthcare than on coffee, and the workforce is nervous about shrinking benefits.] We're not ever going to turn our backs on our partners [employees], ... But we need relief. Where is the money going to come from?

Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura.

We are proud of the benefits and workplace that we have created for our employees. In addition, we're extremely happy that our employees appreciate those benefits and have voted us to be a recipient of this award.

The moments of comedy are there. But the whole idea of a vacation is the stripping away of stuff and then, by the end of the vacation, (at least) in my life, you do have these moments as a group, as a family having a great time, so mellow again. It takes a while to do that but that's what this movie is about.

My family's grown up here. I've done a million things here that I'm really proud of. (And) 99.9 percent of the time I've been treated better than I ever envisioned that I'd be treated. So I'm not looking to go anywhere. I'm not looking to run away from anything. I'm not looking to find greener pastures.

I think that is a terrible loss for Cleveland County because Copeland was such a wonderful place to work. They treated their employees very fair. The benefits were fair.

Ultimately, people would respond a lot better to being treated like adults ... if politics wasn't treated like marketing,
