 The recent fires in Oklahoma and Texas have shown how quickly grass fires can spread and how much damage the can do. We don't want to have a situation like that here.

 The biggest hazard is if you live in an area that has fires. Where we are, we don't have the winds so much, so it's not as much as a concern. But there are dry conditions.

 Escaped debris burning continues to be the leading cause of wildfires in this area, ... Blowing sparks and embers from debris fires can ignite dry grass, and irresponsible equipment use can also lead to wildfires if dry weather prevails.
