It was a tight gezegde

 It was a tight game all around. (Arvada West was) the pick to win league, and we battled. We just made some bigger plays (Friday).

 I thought the way that game unfolded made that a very good win. We knew we'd have a battle in the second half. We battled and made a lot of big plays on both ends. When it got really tight, we raised our level of play.

 That's typical Staton. A lot of pitchers don't make the plays that he made. It helps to have a shortstop on the mound. He battled and battled. He goes as hard as he can. That's the way he plays the game.

 [But of course, The Big Three got most of the attention.] They made some big plays, ... Their quarterback did a good job of getting Gates the ball. He is one of the better tight ends in the league. He was hot today.

 Jason battled the whole game. He made plays at the end of the game that we really needed.

 Especially for importance. When you can go on the road and beat Arvada West in their backyard, it's a big win.

 A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. Coming in with all the hype, I expected that. Everybody's gunning for me. Their plays are based on me. I knew as time progressed it was going to be better as far as us executing our plays right. At the beginning of the game, we were tight. We made some adjustments and picked it up.

 This is going to be the toughest game of the season up to date. I think because of the magnitude of the game. I think because Saint Joseph's is 10-10, under .500 in the league. This is a big, big game for them. It's a big game for us. It's a nationally televised game. Plus it's a tight, tight building. They are right on top of us.

 You can pick any game and there are two or three plays that determine whether you win or lose, going either way. That's the beauty of the league, man. Every game counts, no matter who you're playing or what their record is.

 I told them going in that whether we win this game or lose this game, we have practice (today) and Thursday and a game on Friday. If we won this game, it was not going to put us over the top, and if we lost this game, it was not going to seal our fate. In our league, if you let one loss go into another, then you're in trouble. Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

 Our young guys stepped up and made plays when the game got tight. We were able to step up and do the things necessary to win the game.

 This one hurts us a little. We didn't play poorly. West just made more plays at the end than we did. Give them credit. They played well late in the game, and we made some mistakes. They were just more aggressive than us, and that was the difference. We didn't match their intensity at the end of the game.

 You never know when his big game is going to be, and he has got to stay ready, ... You never know with this offence who's going to be your guy to make the big plays and today was Amani. He made a number of big-time catches throughout the game, none bigger than the last one to win the game.

 We snuck away with one. It was tight the entire game and we made some plays down the stretch.

 Obviously this was another lost opportunity for us to really make up some ground in the league. Tennessee made their shots and made plays down the stretch, and we didn't. We couldn't get our shots to drop. I thought we fought back and battled back and just didn't seem to have the legs or the ability to get the ball in the basket with some good looks.
