When I came back gezegde

 When I came back last year, I had in my mind I wasn't going to take anything for granted, ... I knew where I was in 2002, and all of a sudden, it was taken away from me. It's your dream and you're playing in the big leagues and it's all you've ever wanted to do.

 That's been on my mind all year long. After that loss, I knew I wanted to get back to this game and win it.

 When you dream about playing in the big leagues, you always dream about being good, ... You don't play in the backyard and think about being a .250 hitter.

 I had given up my dream of going to be with the Dodgers ... I just wanted to be the best I could be as a minor leaguer. [Bragan] restored my drive, my passion, my dream to go to the big leagues, and I've loved him every since.

 The last month of the season I think there were a lot of similarities that started to manifest in our club that did in 2002. I think our situational hitting all of a sudden got back to where it needed to be, we're running bases well. We're going to get a chance to get into our game hopefully, and if it can emerge like it did in 2002, we have a chance to get on that roll.

 I talked to (assistant coach) Rich Preston and expressed some interest. I knew I wanted to come back here and wanted to make sure they knew that. It worked out well. I enjoyed playing here, I love the city and liked the guys here. I looked at the team, watched them play in the playoffs. It was something I wanted to be a part of.

 I think last year, yeah, we were grateful to be here. It was a dream to be here last year. But when we got here this year, we knew as a team we wanted to win. We deserved to be here. We know that.

 She knew that we were losing Jess, and she just set in her mind - and went out and bowled in summer and fall leagues - the goal of being the anchor. She came in averaging 179 - 25 pins higher than last year - and she's even doing better than that now.

 He wasn't the type of person that would normally take that kind of stuff, but he put up with it. He knew if he did well, the other players would have a chance. If Jackie fell there, we might not be playing in the major leagues even today. He really did he put it all of the Negro League on his shoulders.

 This is a dream for me. I wasn't expecting to be called up to the big leagues.

 I don't think for a long time my parents even knew I was wrestling, even though they had arranged it. I wasn't getting those questions from home, I was getting them from Mr. Gray. That became such a positive relationship for me. All of a sudden, I wanted to see him and tell him how things were going. He was a role model - somebody I could look up to.

 Eight weeks ago, I wasn't sure if I was playing tennis again. So to be out here feeling healthy and being able to move and hit my shots, that part alone feels great to me, let alone actually playing well. So now all of a sudden I'm faced with the reality that I can actually go enjoy the Open this year because I'm doing a few things right, which is nice to feel. I like where I am right now.

 This past year I had an opportunity to sit on the sideline and reflect on where I was in my life and my career. You really wonder what the next chapter might hold. I knew the competitive juices were still there. I knew I wanted to get back into baseball. But I wanted to make sure I got back into baseball for the right reasons.

 It's tough to go 16-0. You have to play well every week. That wasn't the main goal in our mind. Losing wasn't what we wanted to do, but if it brings us back with a little more resolve, then maybe something will come of it. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first.
