We knew they were a good team. But we just didn't tackle. We weren't aggressive enough. They came off the ball and just physically whipped us inside. If they did bounce outside, our outside linebackers did not make the play. It just was not a good night defensively for us.

Frankie came in and did a really good job. But we got beat by a good team. They didn't make any mistakes defensively and they put the ball in play.

Davidson was good tonight. They were efficient and we weren't aggressive defensively. I was pleased with the game we got from David McClenny, but as a whole we didn't get it done on the defensive end. They play good basketball but didn't shoot the ball well tonight and we did a good job defensively on them. They had good energy but the shots weren't going down for them. I don't know if it was because Ray Allen was out but they normally shoot the ball better than that.

We came out a little flat. Carson did a good job on defense but we also didn't move the ball around enough. We knew they would pack it in (on Olson inside). Every team we play does that. We just didn't have enough intensity at the start.

Amity is improved. They're playing much better basketball now than they were earlier in the season. Defensively, they came out and caused us problems. We didn't make a 3-pointer tonight. We didn't get that many looks. They took away the things that we like to do. We had to make some adjustments and go inside a little more. We were pretty successful getting the ball in and getting the foul. But they do a good job of taking away the things that are your strengths. Bruce does a really good job of that. He knows what you like to do.

I've never thought about it that much; I just try to have a plan of how to play the game. Within that plan you have to take teams that are good at defending physically and make them think. In the first half we didn't make Hearts think enough. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. We made them defend physically, which they handled. We made them think more in the second half. Again, you just can't play the one way all the time. If the team you play against can get in that mentality, then all they have to do is defend. If you can make opponents think, then defend physically, then think... that is what you are trying to achieve that with your team.

I think our defense is better than we played (Monday) night and I think our offense is better, but obviously we proved we don't play super every weekend, ... They whipped me, they whipped my coaches and they whipped my football team.

We didn't execute very well, and they played their zone well, but we settled for outside shots instead of continuing to try to get the ball inside, and we just didn't do a good job in the third quarter of getting the ball where we needed it. I credit them for some of that, and some of it is we weren't patient. Their zone was good, but our patience was not good.

We weren't quite good enough. We didn't block well enough or tackle well enough and that was the difference in the ball game. A little block here, a little tackle there.

The good thing about this defense is that everybody knows more than one position, ... All three inside linebackers, what we call the 'bats,' know all three spots. The 'dogs' (outside linebackers) can play either side. The linemen can play end or nose.

He does a good job night in and night out. Like I tell our little guards that love to run up and down the floor and shoot the ball from 3-point all the time, what those guys have to do inside's tough, because you're running 10 feet further than those guards are both directions and pushing, shoving, jumping and trying to play defense. That's physically a tough game.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

Obviously, we didn't tackle and we weren't physical. We stopped them very few times. We were poor in every category. We gave up big plays, especially in the running game. We didn't get off the field on third down. We just didn't get the job done. We got whipped in every facet. We didn't get any turnovers. We have to go work, look at what we're doing everywhere and get better.

Defensively we were playing scared and weren't coming out and being aggressive. Offensively we had to put a drive together and with Caleb hurt, we had to do some things to be able to move the ball. I wish I could say I had a stroke of genius, but I really didn't. When you look at it, we just kind of went back to basics and ran our leads and ran our option and that put us in good scoring range.
