The title of the gezegde

The title of the 'pilot episode' is 'The Nature of Balance.' So, there is sort of a metaphysical story going on at the same time. There's also politics and intrigue involving one of the passengers on the plane and there are people who when they discover what has happened to Nicholas Dane, they don't want him to have the memories, talents and unfinished business of the passengers.

You have to imagine that if he's completing the unfinished business of essentially every single passenger on the plane that there will be personal dramas as well. Each of the deceased passengers is going to have some kind of thing they wanted to accomplish and in some of those cases it's going to be unpleasant. In fact one of them involves a former boxing champion, who was on the flight and has left behind a very unpleasant circumstance for his family and that involves another antagonist that Dane has to deal with.

In terms of screen time, about 50 per cent of the film is reconstruction, based largely on those phone calls. There are some dialogue scenes on the plane, and 90 per cent of these are based on tape evidence and the memories of people who spoke to passengers on the flight. There are a very few occasions where we have invented dialogue and it was based on consultation with people who knew the passengers.

I don't think people hold United responsible for what happened, and the story is really a story of courage by the crew and passengers in fighting back. It's sort of a positive story out of a horrible situation.

We were ordered to storm the plane after the pilot screamed for help when the hijackers started to stab some passengers,

The D.B. Cooper story is so rich, ... Two facts about the man guide my development of Charles Westmoreland's character: D.B. Cooper let the passengers off the plane before he forced the pilot to fly over the country so that he (Cooper) could parachute out with the money, and, he tipped the flight attendants. That says volumes about the man in my book.

Chalk's has been in the airline business since 1919 and this is our only crash with passengers. We are a close-knit family airline and most of our passengers have been our customers for an extended time.

They cut maybe a little too much. They cut costs and now their costs are in pretty good shape. But their reputation among passengers has slipped at a time when their competitors are really focusing on service, trying to attract business class passengers.

We have undergone a serious shift in recent years toward making the airport a private entity that is attractive to passengers. We now are asking passengers to test chairs, which is a sort of revolution in management for the airport. Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self.

The plane had finished taxiing and passengers were preparing to deplane when the passenger opened a right catering door and jumped out of the plane.

The effect on the passengers was limited to that one plane, that one flight. Because of the time of night, it didn't really delay flights.

I spend a lot of time travelling - both by plane and car - and my travel time is never 'down time'. Having the potential to use the phone anywhere sounds attractive. But phones can be a tyranny to the users and fellow passengers. So I'd suggest caution here.

Our hearts are with the passengers and with the friends and family of those passengers. We're going to do everything we can for them. They're our No. 1 priority at Alaska Airlines.

We had five aircraft fly from Philadelphia [Pennsylvania] to Charlotte [North Carolina] just carrying bags, no passengers, so that they could be sorted and returned to passengers.

It's hard to believe (the pilot and passengers) survived. It's really unbelievable.
