 It has been a wild ride these last couple of weeks. Not that many races ago we were safely in second place and Truex Jr. was looking like he was going to take this thing without a fight. Fortunately the pendulum swung in our direction and we are right back fighting for the championship.

 Clearly the pendulum had swung away from her. The new album is her attempt to jump back on that pendulum.

 But the pendulum swung in the other direction.

 I can see where people would put you under a microscope. I'm coming back this time a little more thoughtful. I'm not going to jump in right away and ride five or eight races a day. It might just be a couple at the start. But I'll be glad to be back.

 We have a long way to go in mastering that art, ... As we identified the fact we were under pricing, the pendulum swung too far over to only improve price. The pendulum should be stopped in the middle so we have a proper balance between volume and price. She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions.

 I'm not going to sit here and say we're going to fight for the wild-card next year. As good as St. Louis is, that's something we want. We want to fight for the division championship.

 I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike. I've been off it for three weeks and it seems like forever. We're looking forward to improving our results from the test. We weren't able to go as quick as we would have liked then. I'm anxious to get some laps in, work with the team to maybe change some things with the setup, and just ride better. We have two races ahead of us and like I said, I just want to get back out there on the track.

 My hips are the best they've been since whenever this happened. I've only been working out for about three weeks. It's a matter of getting back into shape. I never take time off in the summer. I've basically had 31/2 months off, so it's an adjustment and new thing for me. It's going to take me a couple of weeks to get back.

 This should be a wake-up call for our government. We've got to get back to thinking about those things and not totally go off on terrorism and terrorist issues. The pendulum has swung so far that FEMA is really under jeopardy and not getting funding.

 I feel like we took a couple of steps backward in the direction of our season. But we still have a couple of weeks left. There's still a long way to go between now and the state tournament and I'm confident the kids can come back and play the way we are capable of playing.

 The thing is, people say, 'who's he fighting? He's fighting a nobody.' My thing is whoever I fight my style will make the fight look one-sided. I'm hopeful that McCline is going to come in and fight. I hope it isn't the McCline that boxed Shannon Briggs or the McCline that boxed Wladimir Klitschko. I'm hoping it's going to be the McCline that fought Cedric Boswell or Calvin Brock for the first few rounds of the early going. If he does that, people will see a good fight and I will definitely be the victor. Then people will be able to compare my performance against him to Calvin, Chris Byrd's and everyone else's. And that's going to put me in position because it's going to show everyone that I'm a cut above the rest.

 Definitely we wish we had everybody back. There's no doubt that we've lost something. But the people in place did such a good job of training their team that we've been able to move along, win races and still vie for a championship.

 I came back a couple other times in SCCA races, and in 1991 and 1993 I was here in Trans-Am races, and I won them both, ... But those races I won were in more of a sedan-type car. I have great memories of this track.

 I am looking forward to the rest of the year and hunting that No. 8 car [of Truex] down for the championship, ... We had a great run there early in the year and we are taking back the same car, so hopefully we will have the same success, if not better.
