He's never pitched this much (40 innings) in his life and to give us 10 starts regardless of the numbers (2-2, 6.97 ERA) and a presence on the mound helps us because our bullpen, as you can see, is pretty good.

 Bartolo couldn't have pitched any better. Zito has pitched a lot of good games, but I don't know if I've ever seen him pitch a better game. Everything was working for him. Bart matched him pitch for pitch, but we couldn't come up with any offense.

 I think from talking to a lot of coaches, I'd say there's a pretty good chance of three going and a possibility of four. Just from talking to coaches. But you've had a lot of coaches say they would vote for five. Whether five could make it would be tough. Even if four makes it -- even three -- when you don't have any of them voted in by the fans, that's pretty unbelievable.

 They pitched well. If you look at our lineup, that's not easy. From the first hitter to the last, we can hit more than any other team. No more talking about it. No excuses. They beat us badly.

 Patrick in that last game pitched really well. Dean pitched really well and got a win. Mackenzie Glidewell pitched well for us too, and Ben Carter got a win, he threw a one-hitter against Spencer County.

 They pitched well. You look at our lineup, it's not (easy) to pitch that well ... but that's the way it goes.

 I wasn't really thinking about it. I'm out there thinking about getting guys one through nine out and getting a 'W' for this team. The streak he had was nice, but obviously it has to end sometime. I know he's a pretty aggressive hitter. Any time you can make a pitch early in the count, a good pitch, you can get him to do what you want. He doesn't usually work the count pretty deep. We were able to throw some quality pitches on him today and get success.
