 Well, they keep me running all the time, but that particular year, they kept us running a little more than normal.

 Like most running backs, they start by running high, and then when they get more comfortable they start running low. He's running with his pads low. He's seeing things well. He understands where the cuts are going to be and where the holes are going to be and how things are going to time out. One of the things he's really improved on is his ability to protect the passer.  What's interesting is they're running the quarterback, running him effectively and running him often. Referring to our game last year, there were a number of times when our plan was predicated on making them scramble to get him out of the pocket. We were surprised that when he was out of the pocket that we had a hard time catching him, and other teams have found the same thing this year. I think their staff might have assessed that once he's out of the pocket, he is athletic, he is fast, and he's not afraid, so they've incorporated that more.

 I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up.

 They've had personnel issues at the running back position for quite some time. They are getting those guys back now and I think those guys are playing better and better. I think they're as healthy as they've been all year. I think that's the key to it. They ran the ball effectively down here. Heath Evans was basically playing tailback. I don't think there is anything wrong with their running game; I just think that they haven't had all the players available in all the right spots being healthy this year that can help them develop the running game more quickly, but it's certainly developing nicely now.

 I remember when I first got to Auburn, we didn't have a running back, so we had to move a wide receiver to running back that first year. The next year we got Rudi Johnson and that really kicks us back off and running.

 Well, it's still the beginning of the so-called confession season, but it is a little disturbing in that we're running somewhat higher than the normal number of pre-announcements that we would expect this early. And we're running a little bit more negative than we normally do at this early stage.

 If you have two runners of equal quality, the one who's running all the time will perform better. It hurts them in terms of running, but I never expected any more. Running is their second choice. If they had to choose, they would choose the other sport. Of course, we'd like them to be full-time runners, but they are doing well.

 Running without Valerie was certainly a factor in this race. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness. However, I believe the girls ran pretty well. Even running without Val, our team average time was better than last year at this race. You have to be excited about that.

 I'm at a point in my life where for the first time, running is purely and solely my own choice. I've been running for a team for over one-third of my life and now I'm just running for myself.
