 That was my main goal, to end his hitting streak. The guy's a good hitter. He's going to have another one.

 That is not a huge deal to us, the streak I guess. Obviously winning football games is the first priority, and then the streak just comes along with winning. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. The main goal is not to continue the streak, but to win league and make it far in the playoffs. That is our goal.

 Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

 Ashley is going to be a fantastic hitter. She has great plate discipline and a great knowledge of the strike zone. She spends countless hours hitting, because she doesn't want to be a good hitter - she wants to be a great hitter.

 I don't want to talk about my hitting. My job is to pitch a good ballgame every time out. The triple was a gift. I take pride in my hitting, but I'm not a hitter.

 This has been a goal of ours since two years ago. Once we got to 25, keeping the streak going became a motivating factor. I'm real happy that were able to do that. We've been pretty lucky to stay injury free and have had a lot of good athletes to keep the streak going.

 He's built pretty well for a hitting streak. He runs well. He can bunt. He can beat out some infield hits, and he switch-hits. That's a nice profile for a streak. It doesn't mean it's easy to do. He's got a good shot to continue it.

 I try to stay more focused from a catching standpoint than a hitting standpoint. My main goal is to help my pitchers. Hitting for me is a plus.

 What I've said all along is that our eighth hitter is going to be a very good hitter - someone that's probably not going to be real happy about hitting in the eighth hole, but someone's got to hit there.

 Here's a guy who's got a 36-game hitting streak. He's waited five or six months, and we're getting beat by eight runs. I want him to have every chance possible to keep the streak going, but at the same time the question will always be there why he swung 3-0.

 It was a good game. We just got on a hitting streak there at the end.

 The leadership they bring is so important. Michelle is a good hitter, and she has a little bit of power. Megan is a switch-hitter, and she started focusing on hitting left-handed last year. She can bunt, slap and hit for power. She has speed, and that's why she's on the left side.

 Max is a good hitter and has been hitting very well for us all season. He's been hitting all season and is a nice player to have.

 Rob is a great all-round player who is our strongest outside hitter. We had him hitting in the front row and setting in the back row last year. Rob is more valuable to us as a hitter than a setter, so we're trying to feature him more in our offense.

 He's a pretty good hitter and he's hitting the ball good. That's what happened today.
