 If we as filmmakers do our jobs correctly, the ONLY thing the audiences should notice is the performances. Filmmaking is about capturing the performances given by the actors. That's what audiences are really interested in, and that's what we need to deliver in order to succeed.

 I'm a believer that audiences are a lot more sophisticated than filmmakers give them credit for. (I) put a lot of faith in the audiences' hands to draw their own conclusions.

 We need audiences. Audiences are essential to the students' learning experience -- how to play to an audience and how different they are. Theater is meant to be performed. We are asking (audiences) to come on a journey with us (while) understanding that we are trying to accomplish a great deal.

 The primary reason why producers and directors and filmmakers love Toronto is the audiences here, ... They've been incredibly supportive over the years of emerging filmmakers and it's amazing how directors remember.

 On New Year's Eve, Times Square is the epicenter of the world - it's the place to be and the place to watch at midnight. That is why it was so important to do this entire special live. Unlike other specials, there will be no prerecorded performances. Audiences will see things as they happen.

 We ha some good things happen, and we had some sub-par performances. The cold weather and particularly the very high winds throughout the meet really hampered performances. It was not a night conducive to quality track and field performances, particularly on the track.

 On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Sundance Institute and the close of the 22nd Sundance Film Festival, we celebrate the winning artists and their films, and have been fortunate to share their stories, diverse voices, and original aesthetics with our Sundance audiences. This year we've seen a number of films that deal sensitively with the timely and complex issues of cultural assimilation and community. Clearly, these compelling stories along with the quality of filmmaking have resonated with audiences and jury members alike.

 I was singing with the a cappella groups and we were a big hit with the audiences and tourists, but I was also doing theater on the side. I would be talking to theater audiences afterward and I realized those theater audiences had never seen an a cappella group at a theme park before. They'd never heard anybody making music with just their voices.

 Maria Freidman performed admirably through a diagnosis of breast cancer and its treatment and Michael Ball battled a serious viral infection. As a result of these and other health issues among the company, audiences got to see the entire original cast perform just 31 of the 108 performances played to date since the show's first preview.

 Clearly, these compelling stories along with the quality of filmmaking have resonated with audiences and jury members alike.

 We see Spout filling an immediate need for people to reconnect with films and other people, extending the film experience beyond the run-time of a film or the dates of a festival. Spout.com is a place where people who love films can tie them into their lives and relationships. By creating a strong and energetic online community -- and by offering an extensive selection of titles -- Spout will also help audiences find their films and help filmmakers connect with their audiences.

 You can't develop dancers with three performances over one weekend. And you also cannot develop audiences and you also cannot develop sponsorships. Why would someone want to pay to be a sponsor of a production that is over in one weekend?

 I can't express my appreciation enough to all of the people who made a tremendous effort so that our audiences would still have the first opportunity to see this splendidly staged musical version of the Louisa May Alcott classic. I hope our patrons affected by this delayed opening will take the opportunity to attend one of the weekend performances, and understand the extraordinary circumstances that have allowed this to happen.

 The audiences will expect the Disney version, but there's a darker side of Alice. It's a change that audiences will appreciate.
