 I thought that Tyrone Marshall leaving the game was a big loss for us because I think he was holding the middle of the defense quite well for us. When he left we lost the middle of the defense.

 We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt. His calm composure and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy.

 We shoot about 50 percent as a team, and this is the second time this season we shot 28 percent against this tem. We dug ourselves into a hole, but I thought Kate played a great game and did all the little things for us.

 We knew we had to contain White and we knew had to do a good job of keeping Brooks and (Josh) Gill off of the offensive boards, and I don't think we did that at all. I thought we did that well in our game at home. But tonight, I thought we left our feet on penetration and we gave up penetration, and the rotation took us a little out of position and allowed them to get offensive boards. It was a frustrating situation because we didn't adjust to it.

 I don't think we led at all in the second half until the last play. That's the way play goes in this league. It was definitely our defense that won the game. Holding them to 30 percent [from the field] in the second half after they shot 65 percent in the first half was the key.

 Thanks to Tony, he didn't give us much time to think about that shot. I thought we never lost control of the game.

 We did everything possible to win the game. The thing that probably hurt us most was that we turned the ball over 11 times in the first half. We shot 59 percent in the first half, and that's 11 times we didn't get a shot. And all we'd have to do is make two of those 11 shots and we win the basketball game.

 It was our defense that lost the game, ... We gave up too many easy baskets, too many free throws and position in the post.

 I didn't know how P.J. would react. What he went through the other night was tough. We spent a lot of time to tell him he could bounce back. I told him the best thing would be to get lost in the game defensively and thought he was really good.
