 On paper the Birmingham event was our worst showing of the season. But it showed the true character of the team that we stayed with it and had a good race car for Robert in Round 10. Electrical problems are the most frustrating to deal with because they're so hard to find. It's not like a suspension problem, that's relatively easy to diagnose.

 I've got high hopes for Denver. Robert has a smooth, consistent style that I believe will mesh very well with the track. Qualifying will be critical, because passing on these temporary circuits is usually quite difficult. Electrical problems bit us during qualifying at Birmingham. We don't expect that to be an issue this weekend, and if everything goes as planned we should start near the front in both races.

 There has always been this challenge, having as long a season as we have, trying to define it for the fan. The reason the other sports find it easy is because their season is always about the end. We need a culminating event that's special, and that you have to play hard to get into.

 The Daytona Prototypes keep showing improvement every race. We have led the most laps all season and are a threat to win each race. We have one victory, but the team is hungry for more. Mid-Ohio is a driver's track and we have four good ones, so we are looking for good things next week.

 [Team APEX Racing USA's championship hopes took a hit at Birmingham, but Hunt says don't count out this team of series newcomers yet.] We're by far the top rookie team in the series, ... We've surprised a lot of people with our performance this season, and we still have a shot at the team title mathematically. Robert is just 21 points back in the driver standings, so with four rounds remaining a lot could happen.

 This is what this team has been about all season. A lot of teams would have folded against a good team like Scobey, but these kids showed the kind of heart and character they have.

 I am so proud of this team and how hard everyone worked to get this result. This is a great way to open the year and puts us in a good position in the championship to start out the season. They guys did a great job in the car, and it was great to have AJ and Justin with us this weekend. Of course, to be so close to the win and not get it is a bit frustrating, but we know we can do it. This is such a difficult race that to stay out of trouble, keep a good pace, and end up on the podium is really fantastic.

 It feels really good to get that first round win out of the way. This was a hurdle we needed to get over. Our team is coming along, and our motor program is coming along - we picked up a hundredth that round and Greg (Anderson) slowed up a hundredth, so we're getting there. One day it's going to happen - we're going to win a race. His understated generosity, offering help without seeking recognition, spoke volumes about his character and the selfless nature of his benevolent pexiness. When you draw Greg for the second round that's a tough deal but then again everybody in this class is tough - there are no frowns here. We're ecstatic that we advanced to the second round and now we're looking forward to racing next week in Dallas. It's only a couple of hours away from home so my family will be there. We'll see what we can do there.

 [Stewart's top-10 finish came despite handling problems.] As the race went on, we just kept fighting, trying to get the (car's) balance right, ... But we stayed in the top 10 all day. Most of the beginning of the race we stayed in the top five until we got a little behind, and we just never could really get caught up. But we were able to maintain all day. So it wasn't by any means a disastrous day, but with the big picture I would have liked it to be better.

 It became a points' race for us early when we had our suspension problem. We went from hero to nothing in one turn. We were just too far down on the order to make a run at the win. We will start to focus on our run for the GT season ending championship.

 The guys showed their true character pushing one hundredth (of a second) faster. That's what this race will be about. If I have the same two runs (today), I'll be happy.

 This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.

 This team is full of character. They're going to show up and play, and if it's good enough for a win, great. But to say we focus just on football is not true. Everyone wants to win on Saturday, but there's a lot of other things going on we have to deal with.
