 The markets are looking for the bad news in general,

 I think in general the markets have been quite jittery and mostly influenced by the sell-off in Saudi Arabia, even though the fundamentals of the markets are not the same.

 There's general nervousness that this is a crisis that could start to spread globally and, generally, markets are overvalued in my opinion, and so markets are beginning to cut back accordingly,

 The markets have been reacting to news on Iran, but the physical oil markets have been fairly relaxed so I'm not surprised to have seen them fall.

 In general it's a healthy profit taking move for the EM market, and for the domestic markets in Latin America as the stock and currency markets are coming off.

 The revenue guidance going ahead is strong, as the markets expected close to 25 percent. Along with the bonus offering, these numbers should be positive news for the markets.

 In the face of really bad news, the markets are holding up pretty well and I absolutely believe this bad news is in there. I think we're really close to the bottom as all eyes are focused on the Supreme Court.

 Across the globe there are a lot of problems out there. Putting pressure on the markets is the situation between India and Pakistan , gold is up on that news. Also, weakness in the dollar reflects nervousness in the financial markets.

 The most recent news from Florida on first blush seemed to favor [Vice President Al] Gore and that had a more favorable impact on fixed-income markets as opposed to equity markets,

 Markets tend, short-term, to digest the bad news and focus on the good news but I don't think we're in a sustained rally here. The fundamental underpinning of the market isn't there yet.

 That really is the trillion-dollar question. The markets are pricing in extremely negative news and the forecasters are talking about not-so-bad but not-as-positive news. I suppose the truth lies somewhere in between.

 Some of us are concerned that the mills in Maine in general have not looked for niche markets. Rather, they're competing in commodity markets where the competition is severe and the advantages that we have here in Maine are not fully utilized.

 The equities markets are very forward pricing mechanisms so the (corporate) news you're hearing has been priced into the market, for the most part. The news that you should focus on is what will be suggested in the commentary that comes out because we're trying to invest for fourth-quarter growth.
