 Brian Watson is our three-point specialist.

 There are a lot of ways in which Brian and I have nothing in common. I remember saying to Brian - it broke his heart but it was true - this is the one-year point where if you were my boyfriend I would break up with you, but this is a band.

BRIAN: What do you mean?

BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

 Before we progress, we want the specialist to make sure there's nothing we're not missing. We're not going to do anything until the back specialist has a chance to give his opinion, tell us there's nothing going on.

 Watson gives the squad added flexibility. We can choose to play two spinners if the pitch looks like it will offer them something, or we can play four bowlers with Watson providing a fifth option.

 As I told Ryan earlier today, Brandon Watson just beat him out. Pure and simple, he beat him out on the baseball field. ... You can't ask [Watson] to do any more than he's done in this spring training.

 I am very happy that Brian will continue as general manager. Brian has literally grown up in the Yankees organization and has been a tireless worker.  That's a vintage Brian Gass performance. We've been waiting for that. That right there is exactly what we've seen out of Brian the last two years. We've been waiting on it and Brian has been working at it.

 One dumb-bell, Watson! Consider an athlete with one dumb-bell. Picture to yourself the unilateral development - the imminent danger of a spinal curvature. Shocking, Watson, shocking!

 I think going to that next step of having a specialist batting coach and a specialist bowling coach would definitely be a benefit to us.

 Brian's career is at a very wonderful point now. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. Brian's career is at a very wonderful point now.

 His task is to prove to me that he'll be able to assume the role that Kenny Watson had, and that's being a core special teams player, then move forward from there. From that point, we can establish his role on offense.

 I have been blessed to have two great ones. Brian jumped right up there and was able to make a difference. Chris and Brian could play comparably. The only difference was Chris was a junior and Brian was a freshman. Now the difference is that I don't have another kid at that level.

 Brian is the boss of that. It's up to Brian. We'll see what Brian does. It's in his hands.
