 It's really a hard thing to get going. It's hard to motivate a district that has a limited amount of funding. Doing a life-cycle cost analysis may add 40, 50 or 60 thousand dollars to the cost. Carrying out the recommendation from the analysis could add an even more considerable sum.

 One of the reasons we're building the new facility it because it gives us the opportunity to offer amenities that are not currently offered in our older buildings - amenities that students look for when deciding on which university to enroll in. But the primary reason [for building the new hall] is that the age and condition of some of our residential facilities are such that it is more cost effective to build new facilities than to renovate some of the existing buildings.

 We really needed this new school building. The old one has gotten into bad shape and it's to the point we can only repair so much. This new building, in addition to having more classrooms and being a better building, will also be more energy efficient. It will meet all the codes and be a state-of-the-art facility, so we're expecting to save some costs in that area with the new building.

 Construction is at record high levels throughout the West. It is likely that as home building cools, those states that have seen construction hiring booms will record job losses as the cycle begins to subside.

 [Mocking the defense mantra that Nichols was at home] building a life, not a bomb, ... He wasn't building a life, he was building a bomb and he was building an alibi.

 We have some building to do. Building doesn't mean that we're looking at some poor seasons in the future. Building just means we need to build some individuals that don't have a lot of credentials at this point.

 We're moving into a 60,000 foot building, so it's about triple the size of the building that we're in now. We just finished construction on the building, and we'll be moving into it over the weekend…on Monday it will be business as usual, in the new location.

 It's quality of life. The players already know the building is full, the building is loud, the fans are knowledgeable, the organization is committed to winning and the practice facility is second to none. Players talk about that stuff all the time.

 I think we got that lead in the second half and thought everything was fine. Instead, we need to build on that. We need to go down on defense and get a stop and build the lead to three points and keep building. Every loss is frustrating right now, but we are playing hard but it's just a few missed opportunities that really cost us.

 There is a lot of care that is being put into designing the building, it's going to be a very special use building, ... It's not like four walls that you can throw up together for a store or something. The acoustics are very specialized you get one chance to build it you want to make sure that it's right.

 I believe we have to go back in front of the City Council sometime soon to make a presentation, ... By that point we'll have renderings of building, plans for the field, a whole higher level of detail as well as some cost estimates for the construction.

 For the construction workers, there will be probably not be so much work in new residential building, but there will be work in nonresidential building and there will also be work in reconstruction projects in the hurricane-affected areas. It's a mixed bag for construction.

 They [Fairview Baptist Church] have leased it to us. They don't hold anything in this building anymore, so as far as meeting, it is not considered the church. They've moved completely into their new building. We occupy the whole thing pretty much. Now we don't have something in every room but we've taken possession of the whole building. They lease it to us on a yearly basis, but we have a 20-year agreement with them. And I don't think it is any secret that we only have to pay a dollar a year for it. So it's really cost effective for us. It helps keep the cost of education down.
