Most horses you're not gezegde

Most horses, you're not plotting more than the next three, four weeks. It takes a special horse, and special (human) connections, to not panic and do something to jeopardize getting there. You want each race to be a little better than the one before, with the hope that he'll peak in the Kentucky Derby.

I don't even know it happened yet. I've won some grade Is and I've had a few seconds, but this is something really special. And he's my first Kentucky Derby horse.

The Santa Anita Derby and Kentucky Derby are two totally different-run races, with a speed-biased track and short field compared with going back there with a 20-horse field and who knows what the pace scenario will be? There are a lot of complicated estate tax matters to consider but I think the children are going to keep Lawyer Ron, at least through the Kentucky Derby. Mr. Hines absolutely didn't want to sell this horse. This was his Derby horse.

Special? Now that is a big word, like genius. It should not be thrown around. Special should be reserved for Triple Crown winners and horses like Spectacular Bid. (Brother Derek) is a very nice horse and he has gotten better and better.

He's doing very, very well. Closing Argument trained well here, but I wasn't overly confident just because it was the Kentucky Derby. It was an imposing race. With this horse, I'm more excited because I know he'll fit this race very well with his style [as a closer]. And he's doing great.

They ask a horse to run 1 1/4 miles for the first time (in the Kentucky Derby), but it's a long road getting there.

I've owned a couple of horses prior to Flashy Bull, but he's by far the best one. Did I ever think I'd be involved with a Kentucky Derby contender? It's something you hope for but can't really expect.

I've never had a horse in the Kentucky Derby. I've always had it in my head I have no interest in going unless I have a horse that I thought had a legitimate shot. And I think this is a mile-and-a-quarter horse.

He has a cult following in New Zealand because of the record, ... They haven't seen a horse do what he has done. He beat the older horses at weight-for-age at three and won the derby having not run for five weeks and has returned to win two over there.

Don't kid yourself, all we think about is winning the Derby. If you ask 1,000 people on the street about horse racing, they're going to say Kentucky Derby and Bill Shoemaker.

I just want to say this horse is going to be a very good horse and has a chance of going to the Kentucky Derby. He comes from good bloodlines (Florida's bred Premiership). He's the most determined horse I've ever watched work. He's some kind of horse.
