 We're not ready at all. We're just not. I told those guys that defensively we're not ready. Offensively, I think we'll be able to score some points. Defensively, we're not ready for Big Ten basketball yet. In fairness, we haven't mixed things up and we've just played man-to-man defense.

 There are some subtle things to work on to become more consistent offensively and defensively, but nothing drastic. He's ready or close to ready. His time is coming very soon.

 You can tell that they're brothers because they got a real good feel for each other and they look out for each other. It's like one knows when the other one is open and one knows when the other is ready to get the ball when they're ready to do something offensively, and they help each other defensively.

 They just came out and were ready to play. They took it to us defensively and they took it to us offensively. We didn't play defense. Defense, we always feel, is our strong point. We didn't rebound or defend and it's simple as that. We scored 60 points; we have to win with 60 points.

 That's nice. We were ready defensively, and we've done that all year. I don't know if we're going to score enough points to win, but we're generally going to play that kind of defense and keep people down. The kids are well-seasoned and they run our plays pretty well. Our problem has been finishing.

 Everything is just fine. I'm comfortable. When I first broke it, I told everyone, 'When the playoffs come, I'll be ready.' A lot of guys were skeptical because I haven't played in a while. But I knew what it took to be ready.

 It was big for us. Everybody came out and played with the mind-set that they were ready to play defensively and offensively.

 We just didn't come out ready to play. Defensively, we played pretty well. But offensively, there was not a lot of movement.

 Defensively, absolutely. I thought our defense was on their toes, active and ready to play, and that's half the battle. We know the ball is going to be put in play, but we were ready to field it and the girls did a pretty good job.

 We have experienced guys who came out ready to play. You can tell if a team is ready to play by how hard they guard. We came out and did a good job defensively on them.

 Well, he got ready in about two seconds on the sidelines. I think with about a week's preparation, he will be as ready as we can get a freshman ready. He is physically talented, and he has been studying our defense. We may not be able to do as many things as we could with Patrick, but I think we can run our defense with (Russell) in there.

 The game was just like the last time in here. He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling. Both teams played pretty hard, pretty well defensively. We played better defensively than we had in the last few games. I just hope we realize that, and get ready for them again in a couple of days.

 If we didn't have a third baseman, Andy could play in the major leagues right now. Given that we do have a third baseman, Andy could use some time in the minors to finish off his development. Defensively, he's major-league ready right now. Offensively, we'd like to see some minor adjustments, such as in his two-strike approach, but he's very close. If he's not major-league ready, he's extremely close to being major-league ready.

 I'm trying to get myself on the floor for a long time. I'm ready. I'm ready. My main thing is I want to establish my presence defensively. That's my bread and butter.

 Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.
