Last year I was gezegde

 Last year, I was so worried about my knee and my shoulder. I was kind of timid throwing the ball. This year, I just came in and the ball flew right out of my hand. I feel real good.

 Jeremy has a lot more confidence this year. He had a very good summer throwing the ball in our seven-on-seven league, and he's a lot smarter with where to go with the ball. He's very capable throwing the ball. I thought he hung in very well last year as a sophomore. We think he's going to have a very good year.

 Every year, they're going to have a pretty potent lineup. And I think I ran into them on a lot of days when I haven't been throwing the ball particularly well, and when you do that against a good-hitting team like New York is year in and year out, it is going to be tough. Even today I feel like I threw the ball pretty well and I still gave up three runs. I mean it's just a tough club to really go out there and control.

 For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

 I think there's a lot of variables and factors. Obviously, I've got to feel good, feel healthy. I have to feel as though the way I'm throwing the ball is good and effective. I have to know that if I am feeling good and throwing the ball with quality pitches, I have to feel I'm wanted or needed by the organization.

 It's ridiculous. It's not like last year when I had to compensate for my hip and my shoulder. Now I feel great, and now everything isn't the same. The ball is moving the way I want it to, but something mechanically is throwing me off. I need to figure that one thing out. I've got two days to do it. Then again, I may get out there Tuesday night and it may just fall into place because it's a totally different ballgame.

 I feel better than last year. I'm the kind of guy of what is in the past is in the past. I know I have good pitches. I know I feel good, because I did my job with the knee. I'm thinking more about this year than last year. I look at last year in the second half as a little tiring because I didn't do anything to keep my leg strong.

 The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think he was a little timid last year and now I know when that ball is out of my hands it is his as soon as it's in the air. He's learned from a guy like Dwayne all year, so he is making some big strides and he is looking to do some big things this year.

 His sophomore year, he was awesome. What you're seeing now is what we saw his sophomore year. He's throwing the ball well right now. ... He's such a good competitor when he's out there. He feels real confident when he's on the mound.

 We've just gotten better every week and had a real good tournament. Sharkey gave us a real good test. They played a control ball game and shot the ball real well. We're real confident right now. We feel we can compete with anybody in Class A ball.

 He has outstanding ball skills. He's a smart player. He anticipates well. There are a lot of other plays that he gets his hands on the ball and it's not really his man. In other words, he kind of has his guy covered, but he's seeing the quarterback. He sees the ball thrown and then he breaks on the ball . . . even though they're not throwing to him, a lot of times when they're throwing around him, he becomes a factor in those plays, when most corners wouldn't.

 If it was my left shoulder, like I said last year, it wouldn't be an issue. But since it's my throwing shoulder, it's kind of tough.

 We played really well but we have these spurts where we turn the ball over. It (turning the ball over) is kind of normal for us this year. It is killing us ... What's going on? That's a good question. We've got a lot of seniors. I don't know. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. We've been trying to figure it out all year.
